Experienced Midfielder

Taylor is Barrow’s 15th signing of the summer, and will add a wealth of experience to the Bluebirds’ midfield.

The 33-year-old was most recently at Bradford City, where he was released at the end of the season. He made 14 appearances for the Bantams last season in all competitions.

Taylor began his career with hometown club Oldham Athletic, and amassed close to 300 appearances across a seven-year period with the Latics.

His best season with Oldham came in the 2010/11 campaign, as he scored 11 goals and registered eight assists to help his side finish 18th in League One.

The now-33-year-old earned a move to the Championship, joining Millwall on a one-year deal.

However, he lasted just the solitary season at The New Den, as he joined Blackburn Rovers the following season. Taylor enjoyed a successful three seasons at Ewood Park, making 62 appearances in all competitions.

What Was Said?

Speaking abut his new signing to the official Barrow website, manager David Dunn said: “Chris has done really well in training.

“He’s looked really lively and I already know him from playing alongside him at Blackburn so I know how good a footballer he is.

“He’s got experience, he’s got a good energy and that makes him great to have around the place so I am looking forward to seeing him get the Barrow kit on and show everyone what he can do.
