REPORT: Adam Lallana Could Join Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton or Leicester City

Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana is set to leave Liverpool in the summer with his current contract coming to an end. The Englishman spent most of his six years in Merseyside in the physio room, but will likely leave with a Premier League winners medal as a parting gift.

And, in truth, now seems like the perfect time for Lallana and Liverpool to part ways with the likes of Curtis Jones primed and ready for some first-team action. This will also give Lallana the perfect opportunity to rediscover his best form with the help of first-team football.

Many clubs could make use of Lallana’s experience and talents, including the teams below, to form one of the best deals of the summer.

Three Clubs Adam Lallana Could Join This Summer

A Return to Southampton

6 years ago, Adam Lallana became the villain of Southampton by swapping the Saints for the Reds. However, 6 years later and the Express has reported that the former captain has the chance to get back on the good side of the Southampton fans

The move would be somewhat of a wholesome one for Lallana; he would be going full circle in his career. And, in fairness, its a move that both parties desperately need. Adam Lallana needs consistent first-team action to rediscover his best form. Whilst Southampton need an experienced yet talented midfielder to take the club from mid-table mediocracy to the top half of the table once again.

A midfield combination of James Ward-Prowse and Adam Lallana would certainly entice the Southampton fans, making this deal even more possible.

Adam Lallana to Provide Spark for Tottenham Hotspur

Since the departure of Christian Eriksen in January, Spurs have failed to replace the creativity of the Dane and therefore failed to pick up crucial points. The free transfer of Adam Lallana, however, could solve this problem.

Lallana can exercise his creativity in midfield, with Jurgen Klopp often turning to him when looking to add that extra spark; this is a spark that Spurs have so desperately lacked over the past couple of months. According to the Express, Spurs are among a few clubs interested in the Liverpool man.

The transfer of Lallana would also come risk-free for Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy; they would be getting an experienced creative midfielder without having to spend a penny on transfer fees.

A Reunion at Leicester City

In 2014, Brendan Rodgers brought Adam Lallana to Anfield for a fee of £25 million. And now, 6 years later, the duo look set to join forces once again with Leicester; the club are favourites for Lallana’s signature in the summer as reported by LeicestershireLive. The move makes sense for both parties with Leicester adding experience to a youthful midfield. And Lallana getting the opportunity to regularly play first-team football at the highest of levels.

The reuniting of Rodgers and Lallana will perhaps see the latter return to his best form and help Leicester solidify their top-four hopes next season.
