Sean Dyche to Work Miracles Again With Burnley

Sean Dyche

Burnley and Sean Dyche endured a somewhat rollercoaster ride last season and will be looking to a stronger showing this time. The previous season saw the club qualify for the Europa League which, with a threadbare squad and starting their season early, took its toll. Thirteen defeats from their first 19 games left Burnley staring at relegation but a  turnaround in the second half of the season ensured their stay in the Premier League for the 2019/20 campaign.

Sean Dyche to Work Miracles Again at Burnley

Lack of European Football a Blessing for Burnley and Sean Dyche

Qualifying for Europe for the first time in 51 years was a remarkable achievement for the club. Sean Dyche once again working miracles with a small squad to upset many of the top six throughout the 2018/19 season.

Starting their season early and without the luxury of a large squad consequently led to poor results with Burnley looking doomed approaching the festive period. Dyche just about managed to steady the ship and even losing their last three games was not enough to send the club back to the Championship.

Burnley will be grateful for being able to concentrate solely on domestic affairs this season.

Transfers

Two Premier League veterans called time on their careers this summer. Jon Walters and Peter Crouch both hung up their boots. Erik Pieters joined from Stoke City and Dyche also added former favourite Jay Rodriguez from Southampton who is looking to reignite a once blossoming career before it was beset by injuries.

Key Men

The key man for Burnley once again will be manager Sean Dyche. A no-nonsense manager who continues to work miracles. It is strange that he isn’t linked to more of the top jobs but Burnley fans will be happy he isn’t.

James Tarkowski will be key for Burnley in defence and it will intriguing to see how the strike force lines up. With Rodriguez back at the club, Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes will all be looking to get in on the goals this season.

Predictions

Burnley have made a couple of good additions to the squad and will be too good to go down. A mid-table season will improve on 15th last year.

Predicted Finish – 11th
