Adrien Rabiot to Leave Paris Saint-Germain

Adrien Rabiot has won nearly everything he can with PSG. Growing up in the club’s academy, the central midfielder established himself as one of the best in France and is still very young. He rejected a contract extension with his club, putting teams all across the continent on alert. After many rumours and claims, his new club is set to be Barcelona.

As the Frenchman moves from one big club to another, his experience and skills improve. After graduating from the PSG youth squad, he went on loan to Toulouse. On his return, he spent five years with the first team, slowly working his way up the ranks. Now, after making a huge impact on the squad, he looks to Spain where a new challenge awaits.

New Challenge in Barcelona

Lately, Barcelona have been ruling Spanish football. Last year they almost completed an entire La Liga season undefeated, crushing rivals Real Madrid in the process. Just like last season, the Catalans are dominating the league and look to win another domestic title as well as a European one. With the departure of Andres Iniesta, the club are trying to find the ideal replacement. Even after signing a few midfielders, they believe it isn’t enough. Adrien Rabiot is already one of the best and, with time, can become even better. Signing him on a free is one of the best deals the Blaugrana can do.

Rabiot has made a total of 223 appearances for PSG, scoring 24 and assisting 15. He is mostly known for his ability to defend, attack, and his passing ability. So far this season, his pass completion rate is at 92.7% all competitions. He is perfect for Barcelona, a club who have a reputation for having great passers in their squad. He will surely make an impact and leave a legacy in Spain. Big things should be expected from him once he arrives in the heart of Spanish football.
