TNA Rebellion 2026 – Who and Why EC3 Returned for?

EC3 made his TNA Wrestling comeback at TNA Rebellion 2026. The news broke yesterday that the former 2-time TNA World Champion was returning, after more than 5 years. His last appearance was at Bound for Glory 2020. All we knew before the PLE was: “One man’s madness has a name: trouble.”

Before and after the tweet below, EC3 posted other “Threezus” quotes accompanied by videos here, here, and here. “In the beginning, there was the Top 1%. There was only ever the Top 1%.” In the videos, EC3 asked which man is the most dangerous: the one with nothing to lose or the one with everything he needs.

What Happened

It may have been a return at TNA Rebellion, but the real wrestling comeback will take place in Syracuse, NY, on Thursday Night iMPACT. Eric Young said in the Countdown to TNA Rebellion that he was ready to come face-to-face with EC3 later this evening.

After the TNA Knockouts Championship match, Young came to the ring and called out EC3 to join him to plead his case.He called EC3 a “nepo baby” and “Aunt Dixie isn’t here any longer”.  EY went for a cheap shot. EC3 ducked and delivered a clothesline to send Young out of the ring.

EC3 reminded that he is the Top 1%, a 2-time TNA World Champion. “EC3 is back!” He was forced to announce that he challenged Eric Young for a one-on-one comeback match next week on TNA Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC. “AMC becomes ECM3,” he added, “That makes sense.”

He told Eric Young, “Pursuant to who I am, pursuant to why I am here, pursuant to my mind, my body, my soul, my everything. The Exile, the Crusade, the Trouble Trouble Trouble. I have one thing to say: I’m from Cleveland, b**ch!”

Stay tuned on Last Word on Sports Pro Wrestling as the real comeback of EC3 will take place at Thursday Night iMPACT in a few days.
