Emotion is a theme that has been ingrained in wrestling since its creation. The performance aspect is important, of course, but without emotion, there is no motivation to watch its content. That theme has been present in WWE since its inception, and they have played with both extremes of emotion. They have been able to break our hearts and warm them with some of the most emotionally charged moments in wrestling history.

Broke Our Hearts – The Undertaker’s Legendary Streak Comes To An End
The Undertaker was WWE’s general for decades. He was the leader of the company, and it was reflected in his perfect WrestleMania record. A record that was a perfect 20-0 before he walked into the Super Dome.
The Streak was WWE’s last great record. It was something that defined The Undertaker’s late career and was a massive selling point for WrestleMania. Many tried to topple the record, and all fell at the hands of The Deadman. The Streak was something that should never have been broken, and when Brock Lesnar accomplished that, our hearts broke. The fans’ expression told the entire story when WWE tarnished a legend’s legacy.
Warmed Our Hearts – Randy Savage and Elizabeth Reunite
Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth were WWE’s power couple for years. Their star power was incredible, and it was only through pure jealousy that their relationship ended. For years afterwards, they were kept apart in WWE programming, and the audience began to forget the allure of their partnership. That is, until WrestleMania 7.
After losing his Retirement Match, Savage was in the midst of a brutal beatdown from his former valet, Queen Sherri. A beatdown that drew Miss Elizabeth out of the audience and into the ring to aid her former partner. In a moment of pure joy, the Macho Man realized who had come to his aid, and the world witnessed the sweetest of embraces. The couple of the Golden Era had finally gotten back together, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the arena.
