WWE NXT Preview (02/03/26) – Who Will Leave the New NXT Champion?

Tensions are really heating up among the men’s division in NXT and boiled over last week as there was a brawl among all seven members of the NXT Championship Ladder match that will take place next Tuesday, February 3rd.

They have shown that they will do whatever it takes to win. But who knows the fate of the ladder match, especially with the return of Tony D’Angelo.

Find out who is in the ladder match for the NXT Championship and why Tony D’Angelo may be a threat to the match by reading here. There will also be another championship on the line. Do you know which one?

A Triple Threat Championship Match

Not only will the men’s NXT Championship be on the line, but the Women’s North American Championship will also be defended. Izzi Dame will be defending the title against Lola Vice and Thea Hail.

Thea Hail is getting this opportunity because she is the former Women’s North American Champion and hasn’t received her rematch yet. While Lola Vice already defeated Izzi Dame before and has been on a roll in the ring.

The NXT General Manager, Ava, awarded both women with a championship match, making it a triple threat. It will be an interesting match up as it seems that Tatum Paxley isn’t done with Izzi Dame yet, considering she attacked her last week. Paxley is someone who Dame should keep her eye out for, if not, it could cost her the championship.

A New NXT Champion is on the Horizon

The match is finally set for the NXT Championship. It was supposed to be a six-man ladder match, but it will likely be seven men now. The Vanity Project (Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor, and Ricky Smokes) took out Joe Hendry while he was backstage, taking him out of the match unless he is cleared to compete. We don’t know if he is cleared, but he joined the brawl at the end of last week’s NXT episode, despite limping.

Jackson Drake earned a spot in the match after taking out Hendry, but Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes are banned from ringside. The other men in the match (not including the possibility of Joe Hendry) are Dion Lennox, Shiloh Hill, Sean Legacy, Keanu Carver, and Ricky Saints.

When talking to Tony D’Angelo backstage, Ava voiced her concern about D’Angelo interfering in the ladder match, which D’Angelo had no response to. However, he did say he will address everyone on Tuesday with his intentions with NXT. Do you think Tony D’Angelo will affect the outcome of this match?

All of these men have such a bright future ahead of them. They are all the best at what they do which is why they are in the position that they are in now. Who will take advantage of this opportunity and make their future start now?
