All Chris Jericho WWE World Title Reigns, Ranked

Chris Jericho is a true pro wrestling legend, with his career starting all the way back in 1990. A few years later, the Canadian made it to ECW and WCW after an impressive run on the independent scene. Jericho eventually joined WWE (still known as WWF at the time) in August 1999, where he wrestled on-and-off for the next two decades.

Chris Jericho is a six-time world champion in the company. Y2J won the WWE Championship once, the World Heavyweight Championship three times, and the WCW Title twice. Now, seven years after joining AEW, Jericho’s name is being associated with his former employer again. Thus, it’s the perfect time to go back and rank all of his world title runs in WWE. Enjoy!

6. 2nd WCW Championship Reign (December 9, 2001)

  • Defeated For The Title: The Rock (Vengeance 2001)
  • Lost The Title To: N/A (Final WCW Champion In History)
  • Days Held: 0
  • Successful Televised Title Defenses: 1
    • Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (Vengeance 2001)

Everyone knows Chris Jericho became the first Undisputed Champion in WWE history at Vengeance 2001. What isn’t often mentioned is that Jericho became the last WCW World Champion ever in the process. The Rock held the once-prestigious Big Gold Belt heading into Vengeance’s mini-tournament, and lost it to Jericho.

The WCW Title was technically on the line one final time in the main event, as Y2J faced then-WWF Champion Steve Austin. Jericho won thanks to Booker T’s interference, retiring the WCW Championship while also capturing the WWF/E Championship for the first (and only) time in his career.

Since the WCW Title was retired on that very same day, the reign can’t be any higher on this list.
