Should Jacy Jayne Be Called Up Alone or With Fatal Influence?

Jacy Jayne has built up an extensive resume within NXT. She has become NXT Women’s Champion twice and she was the TNA Knockouts Champion over the summer. WWE sees her as a star. Debuting in 2021, she spent the next five years working hard and training to become the wrestler she is today. All that work paid off, as she is at the top of the NXT women’s division. She’s sure to be getting a call-up sooner rather than later.

But the problem is, she isn’t a pure singles star. Along with Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, she is part of the faction Fatal Influence. Henley has been around just as long as her, with many accomplishments of her own, while Reid is just starting her journey in NXT. Should she get called up alone, or should her stablemates come with her?

Jayne Should Get the Solo Call Up

Looking at the three women in the group, it’s clear who the star is. The spotlight is clearly on Jayne, and for good reason. She’s grown into an incredible wrestler with excellent promo skills and athleticism. All the tools are there for her to become a main roster star. Bringing Henley and Reid up with her would be redundant right now. Her going solo would also be good because of how new Reid is to NXT.

She’s only been a member of the group for a few weeks. Henley would be in the mentorship role if the group continues and Jayne gets called up. That would let Jayne go to the main roster without hurting the other members of the group. It would also open the door to a possible reunion once Reid gets established in the NXT women’s division if she and Henley stay a team.

All Three Should Go to the Main Roster Together

The one good thing about the main roster is that there is no shortage of factions with men in them. There are MFT, the Wyatt Sicks, the Judgment Day, and sometimes the Bloodline. However, recent attempts at women’s factions haven’t been as successful.

Damage CTRL had a good run, but dissolved months ago. Pure Fusion Collective didn’t get over, with Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville getting released in February. Fatal Influence would fill the gap that those two factions left. Jayne could’ve been a proper single star months ago.

She also could’ve thrown Henley under the bus when the two kicked out Jazmyn Nyx. But she’s stayed with the group during their highs and lows. Staying has shown her loyalty to Henley and Reid, which could prove beneficial. The main roster needs a dominant women’s faction, and Fatal Influence could be what Raw or SmackDown needs.

What Happens When She Gets Called Up?

Right now, Jayne is in the middle of her second run as NXT Women’s Champion. When she loses it, which could be weeks or months from now, WWE will have to make a decision. Should she become a solo act, or should Fatal Influence be called up as a faction? Becoming a solo star makes sense. The emphasis is being put on her as the important wrestler in the faction. In addition, Reid hasn’t been on the NXT roster for very long.

Having Henley still with her would help her become a star herself. But the main roster is lacking a dominant women’s faction. There are tons of them on the men’s side of things, but nothing for the women. Fatal Influence as a whole would be a great addition to the main roster. Whatever happens, Jayne is being prepared to be a main roster star.
