Chris Jericho and Big Show dominated WWE’s tag team division in the second half of 2009. The duo known as Jeri-Show was formed after Edge – Jericho’s original tag team championship partner – suffered a nasty injury. Edge made his return at Royal Rumble 2010, eliminating Jericho before winning that year’s Rumble Match.

A month later, Chris Jericho won SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber Match after Shawn Michaels infamously superkicked The Undertaker.

Jericho picked up the pieces and won his third World Heavyweight Championship, and sixth WWE world title overall. As the Royal Rumble winner, Edge challenged his former partner to a title match at WrestleMania 26.

The two Canadians had an intense match at that year’s Showcase of the Immortals, and Jericho cheated to retain the gold. Jericho’s reign didn’t last much longer, though. Edge speared Y2J on the following SmackDown, allowing Mr. Money in the Bank Jack Swagger to capitalize.

While Chris Jericho wasn’t as hot as he’d been back in late 2008, the intense feud with Edge elevates this title reign.
