TNA iMPACT! After The Bell (6/12/25) - The Humpy-Bumpy Road

TNA iMPACT! After The Bell (6/12/25) – The Humpy-Bumpy Road

This TNA iMPACT episode is the first of 6 episodes that will lead us to TNA Slammiversary, one of TNA’s flagship events. The first match to be announced is already making history. Leon Slater, the youngest main-eventer ever, could also become the youngest X-Division Champion ever (Amazing Red is the current youngest at 21 and 4 days).

Slater will face Moose at TNA Slammiversary and try to capture a title that has brought the glory of TNA Wrestling for nearly 23 years. I don’t see a better way to celebrate the company’s birthday than making history and building new legends. That is what TNA Wrestling has always been about.

Back to TNA iMPACT!, a fallout episode is always messy, as it closes one chapter and opens new ones. If you carefully read my preview of TNA iMPACT!, you will soon know if Nygma’s crystal ball was right or wrong.

The Fallout From Against All Odds

Director of Authority Santino Marella upheld Mike Santana’s two-week suspension for putting his hands on a TNA doctor at Against All Odds. Marella promised to give him a match against A.J. Francis after he cost him the TNA World Championship.

Marella also had security remove Robert Stone from the building. Nygma says: Good things always come conveniently.

Santino Marella kicked off the show by thanking the fans for giving him the strength he needed to care for Robert Stone. Marella announced that Leon Slater will challenge Moose for the X-Division Championship at Slammiversary, following Slater’s pinfall victory over Moose at Against All Odds. Plus, the Champions Challenge will return next week for a blockbuster 10-Man Tag Team Match.

Nygma says: TNA wouldn’t be what it is without a Milan Miracle.

A.J. Francis and KC Navarro welcomed TNA World Champion Trick Williams to the Penthouse. The trio bragged about running both TNA and NXT, leading to FIRST CLASS setting their sights on the TNA World Tag Team Championship gold. Nygma says: Trick-NA or Trick-NXT, same joke.

As I suspected, the Hardys vs First Class ended in a DQ and a brawl. As it was not enough for AJ Francis and KC Navarro to grab Jeff Hardy’s hair, TNA World Champion Trick Williams had to attack Matt Hardy to cause the disqualification. After the match, Williams, Francis, and Navarro continued the assault on The Hardys.

Joe Hendry and Elijah came to their aid. The System, The Rascalz, and Leon Slater joined the fray. Well, it was chaos.

Nygma says: What did you expect?

New Chapters

Even if the System made Jason Hotch the offer to take out Leon Slater tonight and perhaps earn a spot in their ranks, the latter won despite John Skyler at the ringside. Without any interference, this math was heaven to watch. Then, for Jason Hotch, being defeated by Slater after being defeated by Mustafa Ali is rough.

Nygma says: The System is not a better place than Order 4.

The 8-4-1 matches were very nice to watch, even if the winner of the title shot was so obvious. Indi Hartwell, Killer Kelly, Jody Threat, and Tasha Steelz first defeated Rosemary, Xia Brookside, Tessa Blanchard, and Dani Luna.

Former Spitfire partners Dani Luna and Jody Threat faced off to start the match. Rosemary went after Xia Brookside. Victoria Crawford got involved from the outside to help Tessa Blanchard.

When everyone got involved, Hartwell seized the opportunity and planted Rosemary to score the victory for her team. Immediately after, Hartwell, Killer Kelly, Jody Threat, and Tasha Steelz faced off in a four-way match. This time, Hartwell didn’t capitalize on the chance as Killer Kelly grabbed the win and the title chance.

Backstage, TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich didn’t seem surprised at all. The match will take place in two weeks.

After failing to capture the TNA International Championship from Steve Maclin at Against All Odds, Mance Warner and Steph De Lander said that they were robbed of the International Title. Tommy Dreamer tries to de-escalate the situation when Warner unloaded on him. Nygma says: I told you…

The Best of The Rest

  • The IInspiration was back in action for the first time in three years and defeated Missa Kate and Brittnie Brooks.
  • The Hardys vowed to get back on the path towards reclaiming the TNA World Tag Team Championship when they battle FIRST CLASS in the main event.
  • Eddie Edwards challenged Matt Cardona to a tag team match next week.
  • TNA International Champion Steve Maclin had words for Mance Warner. He seemed not to be very enchanted by the Champions Challenge match.
  • Sami Callihan and Eric Young agreed they can’t stand that Trick Williams is the TNA World Champion. They also agreed to face off next week.

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

Humpy-bumpy, there’s no other word to describe this episode, as it seems the Road to Slammiversary will be too. As I said, it’s a six-episode ride. This week, we had some good things in the ring, of course, but a lot of things in the making.

Nygma ends with: Time will tell.

Next TNA iMPACT is TNA’s 23rd Anniversary celebration. Till next week, may the Nygma be with you.
