TNA Wrestling Against All Odds “After The Bell” (6/6/25) – Milaned or Stoned?

TNA Against All Odds was the show you couldn’t miss. Would Santino Marella remain the TNA Director of Authority? Could Elijah end the Trick-NA era? Just two weeks after Under Siege, TNA Wrestling offers a new PLE, a kind of Under Siege’s following, as most of the titles defended yesterday night were not defended two weeks ago.

If you carefully read my preview and the iMPACT! After the Bell, you will soon know if Nygma’s crystal ball was right or wrong, and if that night was as doubtless as expected. If only I were able to do French Miracles, like Santino Marella does Milan ones…

The Nygma’s View

No Title Changes, Again

Steve Maclin retained the TNA International Championship without any kind of surprise. Steph De Lander got involved, provided distractions, but that wasn’t enough to dethrone the Soldier of TNA. Like he said later, he adapted and overcame every situation. He declared himself as the pillar of TNA’s stability. Nygma says: Strangely, I said the same a week or two ago…

Masha Slamovich retained the Knockouts Title, but Lei Ying Lee proved in the ring the warrior she is. The match was stunning, an absolute must-watch. Even if Indi Hartwell was on commentary, “to have a close eye” on the match, she didn’t interfere. In this case, I prefer staying short on words and letting you watch to enjoy. The surprise here came from Killer Kelly, who made her TNA return and dropped a steel chain at the feet of her former tag team partner, and enemy, Masha Slamovich.

Did the Nemeths rob the Rascalz? Of course! Despite being absolutely excellent, The Rascalz are not the new TNA World Tag Team Champions. Why? Because the Nemeths love distracting the referee. The stunning action in this match was wasted by the Nemeths’ cheating attitude. Nygma says: Real Champions don’t need to cheat to prevail.

The Trick-NA era is still, and no, I won’t tell you why it makes me laugh. With Elijah and First Class interfering on Tuesday night at NXT, what was Elijah expecting? It was crystal clear that AJ Francis would cost him the match. Francis handed Williams the title belt, and he cracked Elijah with it. Williams sent Elijah face-first into the turnbuckle he exposed earlier in the match, followed by the Trick Shot to retain. Nygma says: Elijah doesn’t know what a French Trick is.

Miracles

During the Countdown, Santino Marella spoke on his high-stakes match against NXT’s Robert Stone. Matt Cardona revealed that as an impartial free agent, he has been assigned as the Special Referee by TNA management. Later, “John Travolta” Robert Stone (look at the suit) tried to “align his interests” with Cardona’s. Cardona took the money, and Stone asked him if maybe it’ll be OK if Blanchard and Crawford got involved.

Santino Marella vs Robert Stone was a real battle. NXT’s Arianna Grace was in Marella’s corner, while Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford were in Stone’s. The fight spilled into the crowd, where Marella took control.

Blanchard and Crawford slowed up Marella from the ringside, shifting the momentum in Stone’s favor. Marella was about to use the Cobra, but Blanchard ran off with it. Stone attempted to pin Marella with his feet on the ropes, but Cardona refused to count.

Cardona pushed Stone into a roll-up from Marella for three. Cardona prevented Stone from hitting Marella with his Sheriff’s badge. Crawford hit Marella with the Axe Kick, and Stone replied with a Nutcracker. Stone was perched on the top, but Grace Nutcrackered him, too.

Grace handed Marella another Cobra, which he hit Stone with to win the match and become the official Director of Authority. Miracles happened, as Cardona screwed Stone and Marella remains the DOA. Nygma confesses: I shed a tear.

The Hardys and Leon Slater recruited The Home-Town Man from right here in Tempe, Arizona, to be their partner. Oddly, he had the exact same tattoos as Cody Deaner on his arms. That being said, the HTM was on fire and really did the perfect team job.

For once, Alisha Edwards didn’t interfere despite being at the ringside. In the end, Moose Speared Slater out of mid-air, but Slater rolled him up for the win (Slater vs Moose for the X-Division Championship?). A great match with a rightful end and no after-match brawl. Nygma says: This was exactly how it had to be.

First Class enters the Miracles Section because Mike Santana shut them up, for a short moment. A.J. Francis and KC Navarro bragged about costing Santana the TNA World Championship against Trick Williams.

They continued to insult Santana when he showed up wielding a baseball bat. Santana powerbombed Navarro through a table, but Francis blindsided Santana, smashing a champagne bottle over his head. Later, a frustrated Mike Santana refuses to be treated by the doctor. Nygma says: The war is far from over between Francis and Santana…

No Miracles

The Elegance brand prevailed. Ash held Hudson on the outside as Heather leaped off the apron with a Senton. Brookside whipped Ash into a display of innovative offense from Grace. Ash hit a Meteora on Brookside.

The Personal Concierge attacked Grace with a trident at ringside. Ash capitalized on the interference with Rarified Air to win. Nygma says: Thumbs Down.

After the match, the Personal Concierge grabbed a microphone and told the crowd to look at the best and most beautiful tag team champions of all time. The IInspiration’s music hit, and they made their way to the top of the ramp.

They gestured to their midsection as a sign of wanting the tag titles. Nygma says: If they can save us from the Elegances, it’s ok. Then, we were doing perfectly well without them.

Mustafa Ali had Tasha Steelz in his corner, and John Skyler was on commentary. Jason Hotch couldn’t do anything against a Savage Ali, despite Skyler’s help. Ali was so wild that Tasha Steelz headed to the back. Hotch did his absolute best, but Ali unloaded the 450 Splash.

Ali had the match won, but decided to do more damage. Hotch showed signs of life, but Ali put him down with another 450. I agree with Ali, actions have consequences, but it’s time for Ali to face the consequences of his own actions.

Joe Hendry returned to action for the first time since losing the TNA World Championship to Trick Williams to come up short against Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian retreated when necessary, strangled Hendry’s eyes, and smashed Hendry’s left leg into the steel steps.

Hendry held on, but Kazarian kept on targeting the injured leg. He pinned Hendry with his feet on the ropes to win. Like Gia Miller said, “That was anything but a fair win.” Kazarian tried to answer but fled as Hendry was coming to him. Nygma says: Nothing.

The Best of The Rest

  • Mustafa Ali demanded that Tasha Steelz stand in his corner for the match against fellow Order 4 member Jason Hotch. Steelz was on the phone with someone, but who was it? For sure, when Ali found out about it after his match, he was extremely unhappy.

  • Eric Young was banned from the building after attacking a fan on TNA iMPACT! on Thursday night. Young crossed paths with Sami Callihan, who suggested that Young get his stuff together and bounce.

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

An ad was saying, “What did you expect?” Under Siege had its high highs and low lows. Steve Maclin, Masha Slamovich, and Lei Ying Lee rocked the night. The Rascalz and The Hardys’ enlarged family made magic. Santino Marella is my man, forever. Then, do I have to tell you what I didn’t like?

The next TNA Wrestling PPV will be Slammiversary on July 20. We have a long road to travel to New York City. May the Nygma be with you.
