WWE x AAA Words Collide Results

The show opens with a cold open narrated by Rey Mysterio. The national anthems of Mexico and the United States of America are both performed. Rey Mysterio gave the opening address to the audience in attendance.

Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro & Lince Dorado vs. Octagon Jr., Aero Star & Mr. Iguana

This six-man tag team match was the opening contest of the night, and it delivered. The action was fast-paced and showcased all six men (and Mr. Iguana’s pet). Octagon Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana picked up the victory.

WWE Intercontinental Champion ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan were ringside, and they got involved. After the match, Mysterio took the mic and lamented his father, Rey Mysterio, but Octagon Jr. was not having it. Octagon Jr. and Mysterio would brawl all the way into the ring, before Mysterio confirmed that he would defend his title against Octagon Jr. at Money in the Bank!

Stephanie Vaquer & Lola Vice vs. Chik Tormenta & Dalys

Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice teamed up to face Chik Tormenta and Dalys in a hard-hitting tag team affair. Vice took a majority of the punishment from the team of Tormenta and Dalys, as they effectively separated her from her tag partner. But Vice managed to get past that and tag in Vaquer, which is when things really changed up.

The match immediately picked up pace, with Vaquer being the freshest of the four. At some point, Vaquer and Vice did stereo Devil’s Kisses on their adversaries. Eventually, Vaquer delivered the SVB to pick up the victory.

Santos Escobar, Angel & Berto vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano & Psycho Clown

Legado Del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar, Angel & Berto faced El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano & Psycho Clown in a wild six-man tag team match. From early on, Legado Del Fantasma controlled the match. Momentum shifted when Psycho Clown entered the ring, suplexing both Berto and Angel.

The closing stretch was pure chaos, with everyone hitting big moves and dives to the outside. Eventually, Escobar managed to pick up the victory for Legado Del Fantasma.

Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Rey Fenix vs. Laredo Kid [NXT North American Championship]

Ethan Page faced the greatest threat to his relatively young reign as NXT North American Champion, as he defended the gold in a fatal four-way. His opponents were NXT’s Je’Von Evans, TNA and AAA’s Laredo Kid, and SmackDown’s Rey Fenix. Right from the opening bell, everyone targeted the champion, and the action was non-stop.

This match saw a combination of crisp strikes and high-flying mayhem. Page, being ever the opportunist, managed to be in the ring at the best time and managed to pick up the victory. Page retains the gold, keeping his reign going at 11 days.

El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Chad Gable [AAA Mega Championship]

The crowd was electric for the main event of the evening. El Hijo del Vikingo and Chad Gable wasted no time getting this technical showcase underway with a myriad of submissions, throws, and near-falls. Vikingo gained momentum and even stunned the crowd with a breathtaking 630 splash onto Gable on the outside.

That was not the only time that the pair would end up outside and, at some point, they barely beat the ten-count. Vikingo would ultimately hit a Meteora and 630 splash combination to secure the victory and retain the AAA Mega Championship. At the end, several Lucha Libre legends joined the ring in celebration.
