Last-Minute Match Added to WWE Money in the Bank Card

Last-Minute Match Added to WWE Money in the Bank Card

The WWE Money in the Bank 2025 event was preceded by the Worlds Collide PLE. That special event saw the best of WWE and AAA battle it out against each other. The Worlds Collide event saw a last-minute match added to the WWE Money in the Bank card.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Octagon Jr.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio was ringside, alongside WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan. The pair watched the first match, which was a six-man tag team match. This saw the Latino World Order’s Dragon Lee & Cruz Del Toro team up with Lince Dorado against Octagon Jr., Aero Star & Mr. Iguana.

Octagon Jr., Aero Star & Mr. Iguana picked up the victory, but their celebration was short-lived. Mysterio got on the mic and lamented all those who celebrate his father, Rey Mysterio Jr. Of course, this drew the ire of several fans in attendance, and Octagon Jr. confronted him.

Mysterio and Octagon Jr. would brawl all the way into the ring, before Mysterio decided to resolve it in a match. The Intercontinental Champion announced that he would face Octagon Jr. in a few hours at Money in the Bank. Beyond that, he will be putting his Intercontinental Championship on the line.
