In a relatively small press conference, it was announced that both Takehiro Yamamura and Jun Tonsho had been signed with GLEAT as of May 1st. Takehiro Yamamura is a member of STRONGHEARTS who had suffered a cervical spine injury and has been inactive from the ring since 2019. He has served as the pre-event DJ for GLEAT. While Jun Tonsho is a member of the 60 seconds unit that recently launched in GLEAT with Tetsuya Izuchi and Keiichi Sato.

Press Conference Details

GLEAT’s President Hiroyuki Suzuki was actually able to speak in-depth about the signing of both, mainly Yamamura. Saying that while he had been the DJ, he still showed a strong desire to return to the ring. He spoke with some doctors, and Yamamura will go through a big surgery in July. They’re hoping he will be able to have a return at the end of the year at their big event. However, they will not rush it and allow things to happen naturally. Until he can return, he will only be available to GLEAT as a DJ and not as an active wrestler.

Jun Tonsho is a former Wrestle-1 product who had been freelancing with GLEAT as his main battlefield. Like many of the freelancers who eventually signed before him. This is huge because that now means 2/3 members of 60 Seconds have been signed so Tonsho may start to climb up the ladder a bit more than he had as a freelancer.
