Vince McMahon Wrestles Sanctioned Match at WrestleMania 38

Vince McMahon Wrestles Match at WrestleMania 38

In the second-to-last scheduled match of WrestleMania 38 Night Two, Pat McAfee took on Austin Theory. This match built since Vince McMahon’s appearance on McAfee’s show, where McMahon informed McAfee that he would be wrestling at Mania. From there, it was revealed that McAfee’s opponent would be Austin Theory. In the weeks that followed, McAfee and Theory became physically involved with each other. In their WrestleMania encounter, with McMahon at ringside, it was McAfee that emerged victorious. However, this wouldn’t be the end of the discussion. Vince McMahon elected to remove his dress jacket, stepping into the ring for an impromptu WrestleMania 38 match against Pat McAfee.

In what was a largely one-sided affair, McMahon bested McAfee, picking up the pinfall victory. McMahon and Theory proceeded to celebrate in the center of the ring until the familiar theme of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin hit. “The Texas Rattlesnake” marched to the ring, making short work of Theory before setting his sights on his long-time rival in McMahon. The two seemed to share a beer until Austin dropped McMahon with a Stone Cold Stunner. From there, Austin and McAfee began to drink together. Not unlike McMahon, McAfee would also be on the receiving end of a Stunner.
