Stone Cold Steve Austin had his return WrestleMania match at WrestleMania 38. The match was a no hold barred match against Kevin Owens.

Owens has spent weeks antagonizing Stone Cold and the state of Texas in general. It came to a head tonight at “The Showcase of the Immortals”. Owens hosted a special WrestleMania themed edition of The Kevin Owens Show. He welcomed back “The Texas Rattlesnake” to WrestleMania as his special guest. Stone Cold made his way to the ring to a deafening reaction from AT&T Stadium in Dallas Texas.

As he joined Owens, Owens continued to insult Texas. Stone Cold was clearly not happy with the antics of Owens and the crowd was not having any of it either. Owens then challenged Stone Cold to a No Holds Barred match right then and there which Austin accepted. With this Steve Austin had his first WrestleMania match since WrestleMania 19. Austin noted that he had his first match in Dallas Texas and would now have his last match in Dallas Texas.

The match spilled out all over AT&T Stadium as the two brawled into the crowd. Austin took a suplex onto the concrete floor that had him in trouble. “The Texas Rattlesnake” answered though as he drove Owens to the top of the stage in his signature ATV. He suplexed Owens onto the stage before taking Owens back to the ring.

Austin grabbed a couple of his signature beers and took a mid-match refresher. Owens took advantage and hit Austin with a stunner for a near fall. Austin answered back with a stunner of his own to get the win before celebrating with some more ice-cold beer. The crowd was thrilled to see Steve Austin chug a couple of beers as Kevin Owens was taken out of the building to close out the first night of Wrestlemania 38.
