What to Know About the Steiners Prior to Induction

Since 1989, The Steiner Brothers have been one of the most successful tag teams in wrestling history. Their accolades, as a duo, span various companies. Not only are they former 2x WWF Tag Team Champions and 7x WCW Tag Team Champions, but they’ve held tag team gold in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, becoming 2x IWGP Tag Team Champions. During their time as a duo, they’ve implemented an impressive combination of technical wrestling techniques and powerhouse offense, becoming nothing short of dominant as they’ve moved from territory to territory.

This isn’t to take away from the individual efforts of Scott or Rick Steiner, however. In the case of Rick, “The Dog-Faced Gremlin” is a former United States Heavyweight Champion and 3x WCW World Television Champion. His brother, “Big Poppa Pump,” has seen success as a former United States, Television, and WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Currently, the Steiner family is represented in WWE, as Bron Breakker has been one of the most prominent names on NXT 2.0, capturing the NXT Championship.
