TNA Thursday Night iMPACT review

TNA Thursday Night iMPACT Review (7/2/26) – Hard Thoughts on the Future

Bang, Bang

Ricky Sosa reflected on his battle at Slammiversary, and was proud he had beaten Eric Young, and it was his first PLE event. He has proven why he belongs in TNA, and this is just the beginning of the Sosa Era. The Righteous interrupted Sosa and wanted to help reveal Sosa’s greatness. The System interrupted the Righteous and offered Ricky Sosa to join The System.

The Righteous viewed The System as weak, and Ricky Sosa wasn’t interested in joining either side. Bear Bronson attacked Ricky Sosa, Sosa fired back with a kick of his own, and The System attacked him. Leon Slater rushed to the aid of Sosa, but the numbers were too much. The System dropped Ricky Sosa and Leon Slater.

Allie defeated

In the second first-round match of the TNA Knockouts Television Champion Tournament, Heather by Elegance got revenge on Allie. M by Elegance tried to distract Allie, and Rosemary dragged her off the apron. Heather seized the opportunity to drop Allie off the apron; she dove into her with a Double Stomp and secured the pinfall.

A Championship rematch

TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside was confident and proud to be the new TNA Knockouts World Champion. She is ready to take on anyone and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her title. Léi Ying Lee interrupted her and felt Brookside cheated to win the title. She doesn’t view Xia Brookside as a Champion, and now that Brookside has everything to lose, she wants to have her Championship rematch next week in a No Disqualifications Match. Brookside tried to attack Lee, who set Brookside up for the Warriors Way, but Brookside escaped outside of the ring.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
