WWE NXT Review (6/16/26) – Evil on the Way

WWE NXT Review – The Nygma’s View

Zaria did it by herself

A proud Zaria wanted everyone to know she earned the NXT Women’s North American Title herself. She was overlooked and underestimated. People saw the future of NXT in Lola Vice, Kendal Grey, Tatum Paxley, and mostly Sol Ruca. The future now is in her hands. The Championship is not a dream come true; it’s a mistake fixed.

Kelani Jordan arrived and warned her. She also wants the title. Lola Vice and Kendal Grey made their way to the ring. They all argued, and NXT General Manager Robert Stone had no choice but to make the match the ladies told him to do: Lola Vice and Kendal Grey vs. Kelani Jordan and Zaria.

Tavion Heights goes to NXT Great American Bash

Tavion Heights defeated Jackson Drake and overcame the Vanity Project’s numbers game. The NXT North American Champion Myles Borne, Heights’ former tag team partner, evened the odds by taking out Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes. That allowed Heights to hit Height of Glory to become the new #1 Contender.

Speedy Izzi Dame

Izzi Dame is one step closer to being a Champion once again after crushing Thea Hail in the Women’s Speed Tournament. Hail gave it all she had and even locked in several Kimura Locks, but one massive running knee strike gave the win to The Great Dame.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
