On the weekend of August 1st and 2nd, Brock Lesnar is set to take on Oba Femi in an epic finale to their trilogy of matches at SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis. But this time, it will take place inside Hell in a Cell.
This upcoming match will mark the third time that Lesnar has competed inside the structure, as well as the fourth time that he has been involved in a Cell match.
Lesnar will be going into this match against Oba Femi with a 2-0 record in the Devil’s playground. With a bit of history inside Hell in a Cell, let’s take a look at the destruction that Lesnar has left in his path in these three Hell in a Cell matches and see what the chances are that Oba has against Brock inside this hellacious structure.
Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker (No Mercy 2003)
The feud between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker may be one of the bloodiest feuds in all of WWE history.
Every match that these two men have had has been personal and has led to massive brawls. Whether it was a regular match or a Biker Chain match, these two men made it clear that they did not like each other at all.
And that was no different when these two men squared off against each other inside Hell in a Cell at WWE’s No Mercy event in October 2002.
After their WWE Championship match at Unforgiven went to a no-contest, with it ending in an all-out brawl, these two men had the opportunity for a rematch to take out that aggression in an environment that allowed both of them to go as far as they could.
That environment that they fought in was inside Hell in a Cell. The same structure that The Undertaker had brutalized the likes of Shawn Michaels, Mankind, and Big Boss Man in. With that list of names, Brock was in for a fight with The Undertaker.
The two men would brawl, hit each other with weapons, and make each other bleed.
It was personal, and both men wanted to come out of the match victorious and wanted to be called the WWE Champion.
After nearly 30 minutes, The Undertaker would attempt to hit Lesnar with a Tombstone Piledriver. Still, in the end, Lesnar would counter The Undertaker’s Tombstone Piledriver with an F-5 to defeat The Undertaker and retain his WWE Championship.
Brock Lesnar’s performance in this match would later prompt Undertaker to show Lesnar respect on the following week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker (Hell in a Cell 2015)
As mentioned, Lesnar and ‘Taker have quite a bloody rivalry. So much so that this matchup, along with the rivalry between John Cena and Randy Orton, is the only two matchups to have taken place twice inside Hell in a Cell. While the first time was about the WWE Championship, the second time was personal between these two men.

At WrestleMania XXX, Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker, which would mark the end of The Undertaker’s legendary undefeated streak at WrestleMania and make his record become 21-1.
For the next year, Lesnar and Paul Heyman would brag about the fact that Brock was the one in 21-1, and the Beast would continue his dominance by squashing John Cena to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the 2014 SummerSlam event and retaining the belt twice.
It seemed that enough was enough for The Undertaker, as at the 2015 Battleground event, The Undertaker would attack Brock Lesnar and cost him his chance to win back his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. While Brock did win the match, it was by disqualification, and the title could not change hands.
This would lead to a match at SummerSlam, where The Undertaker would defeat Lesnar.
All of this culminated in a finale to the trilogy of their newly reignited feud, with it once again being an inside Hell in a Cell match. Much like their first encounter inside the Cell, Lesnar and The Undertaker would brawl and bloody each other. The match was personal, and both men knew that this would be the showdown with each other.
And just like their first encounter, Lesnar would defeat The Undertaker to end the feud.
Brock Lesnar Causes a No Contest Between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman (Hell in a Cell 2018)
While Brock Lesnar did not compete in this match, he did leave behind a path of destruction. In August 2018, Brock would lose his WWE Universal Championship to Roman Reigns. This was not a result that the Beast would accept easily. Brock wanted his Universal Championship back, and he wanted to make it known in the most Lesnar way possible.
At Hell in a Cell, during the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, Brock would enter the Hell in a Cell structure for the third time in his career. Lesnar would attack Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman with pieces of the table that were broken during the match and would hit multiple F-5s on both men.
With the special guest referee, Mick Foley, having been pepper-sprayed by Paul Heyman, and Lesnar having destroyed both Reigns and Strowman, a second referee had to call off the match and declare it a no-contest.
This match continued to show the lengths that Brock Lesnar would go to destroy his enemies and the damage he would inflict, which, in this case, he inflicted enough for a rare no-contest in a Hell in a Cell match.
Will Oba Femi Survive Brock Lesnar Inside Hell in a Cell?
Let’s make it clear. The Lesnar of today is not the same Lesnar who destroyed the likes of The Undertaker, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman in the Hell in a Cell.

Lesnar has been shown to have lost a step, having been humiliated by Oba Femi in the lead-up to and at WrestleMania 4, having been unceremoniously eliminated from the Royal Rumble, and needing to cheat to defeat Oba Femi. However, Lesnar is still a dangerous man. With Lesnar needing to prove a point that he is still the Beast, Lesnar seems to be willing to do anything to win the trilogy between him and Oba Femi.
But Oba cannot be counted out, as he is a dangerous man as well and has shown that he is willing to dish out as much punishment as he can to be able to win.
The only thing for sure is that their Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam will definitely be an absolute battle to remember between two powerhouses that have something to prove.
