WWE Backlash 2026 Predictions – Sane Helps SKY Wreak Vengence On Asuka

Trick Williams (c) vs. Sami Zayn – U.S. Title Match

Anyone would be remiss to neglect the fact that Sami Zayn has a predilection for Gingerbread Men. That would make more advertisement money than John Cena’s Fruity Pebbles, especially since the PLEs nowadays fill so much time with superfluous ads instead of actual wrestling.

Nonetheless, the double turn that has been gradually occurring between Williams and Zayn has been the most interesting component of this storyline. Trick has really connected with the fanbase as a babyface due to his antics involving his Lemon Pepper Steppers, the Gingerbread Man roasts on Zayn, and even his KFC endorsements. He definitely won’t lose the title so soon after dethroning Zayn, but this heel turn for Zayn should be pivotal in his graduation from the mid-card to the main event scene.

Prediction: Trick Williams

Danhausen & Mystery Tag Partner vs. The Miz & Kit Wilson

Long-term booking might be cursed in WWE, but at least fans can enjoy the cartoonish segments Danhausen has with The Miz and Kit Wilson. The cat and mouse game they have been playing truly feels like a Tom and Jerry situation, in which Miz is Tom, who always loses, and Danhausen is Jerry, who always wins.

Like Jerry, Danhausen can’t lose or else the show will be over, and the fans would have to be subjected to more boring episodes of Miz TV. Danhausen has cursed Miz’s home as well as his marriage with Maryse; he even stole Miz’s daughter’s bicycle. After making his life a living hell, he will solidify that with a win, and the perfect tag partner would be his best friend, CM Punk, who teased going to SmackDown after challenging Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title on the Raw after ‘Mania.

Prediction: PunkHausen
