Danhausen has cursed his way to his first-ever PLE match in WWE at WWE Backlash 2026. The most evil person in the company has spent months cursing and tormenting The Miz and Kit Wilson. From ruining marriage celebrations to costing them the Tag Team Championships, Danhausen’s curses have done the duo serious harm.
Finally, on SmackDown, the A Lister and his mentee got a good measure of revenge. The former WWE Champion appeared to accept Danhausen as his mentee, but it was a trap. The Miz and Wilson attacked the former AEW star and laid him out with their respective finishers.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis scheduled a Tag Team Match at Backlash, but there’s a massive catch. Danhausen would need to find a suitable partner if he hopes to face The Miz and Kit Wilson next weekend. Fortunately, he’s very nice and very evil. Therefore, it shouldn’t be so hard for Danhausen to find someone to tag along with against The Miz and Wilson.
#3. Royce Keys Could Save Danhausen
WWE might not have created many stars in the recent past, but they have started on a decent footing with Royce Keys. Keys made his debut during the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match, where he eliminated Damian Priest. A few months later, he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Now, the powerhouse is regularly being featured on SmackDown, and Triple H might have big plans for him. Keys needs fresh feuds and a clear direction to launch his career to the next level. The rise could begin at Backlash when he reveals himself as Danhausen’s mystery partner against The Miz and Kit Wilson.
Naturally, Keys would make quick work of the duo with his sheer power. With a couple of Spinebusters, Danhausen and Keys could march to a comfortable victory. This could be the beginning of the powerhouse’s first major singles feud against the A Lister. In recent years, The Miz has done an incredible job of elevating younger talent.

LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, Logan Paul, and even Kit Wilson have benefitted immensely working alongside the former WWE Champion. Royce Keys could also have his first major feud with The Miz, who would put him over in the most effective way possible.
#2. R-Truth Somehow Finds Himself Tagging With Danhausen
From a storyline perspective, it makes little sense for R-Truth to team up with Danhausen. But, this is R Truth we’re talking about. As one of the most confused, absent-minded, and entertaining figures on the roster, virtually everything Truth does is nonsensical and humorous.
Therefore, without much thought or care, Truth might agree to become Danhausen’s partner against The Miz and Kit Wilson. Technically speaking, Truth does owe the most evil and nice person in WWE a favor. If it weren’t for an inadvertent curse, Priest and Truth would have lost the Tag Titles to Miz and Wilson a few weeks ago.
Nonetheless, if Truth and Danhausen were to team up, they would make for an entertaining duo. The shenanigans might cost them the match, but WWE could always use that loss to build towards a Tag Title feud between Miz/Wilson and Priest/Truth.
#1. Jelly Roll Might Be Returning for Another Run
In the TKO era, celebrities have been the centerpiece in several storylines. Not too long ago, it felt as if Jelly Roll would be a key ally for Cody Rhodes in his feud against Randy Orton and Pat McAfee. In fact, the musician was involved in the main event of Mania 41: Night One as he put McAfee through the announce table.
However, it appears as if his part in the Cody/Randy saga is done. Nonetheless, with TKO’s obsession with putting celebrities on TV, Roll could return to SmackDown for another mini feud. As fans will recall, the inspirational artist had a minor program with Kit Wilson on the Road to Mania.
Roll defeated Wilson on the March 27th edition of SmackDown. With mutual hatred for Wilson, Roll makes sense as Danhausen’s mystery partner at Backlash. If that happens, the A Lister and his favorite mentee will be in great trouble.
