WWE Raw sets up everything ahead of the first PLE post-WrestleMania 42 in Tampa, Florida, WWE Backlash 2026. We got a stellar tag team match, as well as a couple of one-on-one collisions that’re sure to up the ante on the way. Here’s a WWE Raw preview for May 4, 2026.

The WWE Raw preview for May 4. 2026Since WWE WrestleMania 42, WWE has been randomly firing its superstars. Roman Reigns has also begun attempting to get his whole Bloodline in order. The Usos fell into place immediately. WWE made things easier for Reigns by sacking JC Mateo and Tonga Loa. Jacob Fatu will face Reigns at WWE Backlash and fall in line if he loses. On WWE Raw, Reigns and Fatu meet for a contract signing.
Meanwhile, Finn Bálor attempts to beat JD McDonagh two weeks in a row, still extremely displeased about how things panned out with The Judgment Day, with his friend turning his back on him after all they’ve been through. Oba Femi looks to reassert his dominance once again with his open challenge and is only just mere weeks removed from mauling “The Beast” himself, Brock Lesnar, at WrestleMania 42.
Femi is indeed the “Next Big Thing.” Heck, he might be the biggest thing right now. If anyone wants to argue that, the open challenge set by the “Ruler” is waiting for them.
Finally, the three people who will compete for the Intercontinental Championship continue to circle Penta—the champ teams with Je’Von Evans to face Ethan Page and Rusev. Penta doesn’t have room to breathe, does he? A brutal title defense at WrestleMania 42, now with the addition of Ethan Page to WWE Raw, a new enemy to ward off.
Fortunately for him, Je’Von Evans isn’t hunting him this week but will stand by his side in this stellar tag team match.
