WWE Backlash 2026 Predictions – Sane Helps SKY Wreak Vengence On Asuka

Other Matches WWE Should Add To The Backlash Card

Penta (c) vs. Rusev vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Ethan Page –  Intercontinental Title Match

Penta had a major WrestleMania moment and should continue his momentum, but he has a big target on his back. He still has his hands full with Je’Von Evans, who felt he was very close to winning that title at ‘Mania in that Ladder Match. Evans would be a strong candidate to win the title, but WWE will likely implement a “slow burn” babyface chase for Evans, so a heel dethroning the babyface Penta would be more suitable.

It would be too early for Ethan Page to win the title, as he just got called up from NXT two weeks ago. On the other hand, Rusev is a menacing, intimidating, monstrous heel who has actually been feuding with Penta ever since Dominick Mysterio was InterContinental Champion and still needs his lick back. This swerve victory would solidify his second run in the WWE.

Prediction: Rusev

Finn Balor & Sol Ruca vs. Dirty Dominick Mysterio & Liv Morgan – Mixed Tag Match

This is the boldest match WWE could add to the card, as Finn Balor and Sol Ruca have not interacted yet. However, they both have common enemies and could still join forces to advance both feuds. Killing two birds with one stone is always better than throwing stones in a glasshouse. Sol Ruca did confront Liv Morgan on the Raw after Mania, so this would be a great opportunity for her to get the solid rub and showcase her fancy pro wrestling skills on a bigger stage.

Since WWE is stretching out the saga between Balor and Dom, Dom should nefariously pin Balor in this match to get his win back from ‘Mania and maintain the dominance of the established power couple. This will also ensure that Sol Ruca looks strong in defeat and can still challenge Liv for the world title this summer.

Prediction: Dirty Dominick Mysterio & Liv Morgan

Paige & Brie Bella (c) vs. Judgment Day – WWE Women’s Tag Title Match

Speaking of Finn Balor, the big question here is: Can Roxanne Perez trust Judgment Day? The crux of this title match will be to provide an answer to that question. Judgment Day earned this title shot by defeating Bayley and Lyra Valkyria on Raw. Roxanne and Raquel have been tag champions before, but Judgment Day has changed since then.

Ever since Judgment Day kicked Finn Balor out of the group, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez have been suspiciously questioning Roxanne to see where her loyalties lie, especially since Finn was the one who introduced Roxanne to Judgment Day in the first place. While Paige and Brie Bella add another feather in their cap as they move forward as tag champions, they will see Judgment Day implode as Roxanne plants seeds to carve her own path.

Prediction: Paige & Brie Bella

The Vision (c) vs. Street Profits – World Tag Title Match

Once The Vision dethroned the Usos, there were no other threats to those tag titles on Raw until Street Profits left SmackDown and returned to Raw. The Vision only held the tag titles to solidify their faction, and they did not even defend them at Mania. Since they are using the titles as props merely to enhance their importance on the show, they should lose the titles to a more legitimate tag team that will actually add some prestige to the titles.

The telegraphing here is as straightforward as a clean sweep in the NBA Playoffs. Seth Rollins will help Street Profits win as payback for Vision screwing him in his match against Bron Breakker. Furthermore, a tag title win for the Street Profits would also be a sentimental way to celebrate the EST of pregnancy, Bianca Belair.

Prediction: Street Profits
