#3. Jelly Roll Interferes to Help Cody Rhodes Retain
Due to his past friendship with Randy Orton, Jelly Roll got involved in the Rhodes-Orton feud when the Viper turned heel and attacked Rhodes. Roll has been viciously assaulted a couple of times, but it doesn’t seem as if his part in the saga is over.
The 41-year-old musician could get involved in WrestleMania Saturday’s main event, setting up the rumored Tag Team match at Backlash. Pat McAfee could be causing problems during Rhodes vs. Orton. McAfee’s constant meddling could prompt Jelly Roll to walk out and attempt to neutralize the threat.
The chaos would allow Rhodes to capitalize and defeat Orton. Naturally, this may not be the outcome or direction many fans wanted, but WWE could take this route as it might bring more mainstream attention.
#2. John Cena Comes to Cody Rhodes’ Aid
WrestleMania will have the greatest host of all time as John Cena returns to host the Show of Shows. Given that he recently retired, Cena will most definitely not have a match, but that doesn’t preclude other possibilities. Many fans want him to have a comedy segment with Danhausen.
However, the 17-time World Champion could have a more important role at WrestleMania Saturday. Cena publicly endorsed and embraced Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2025 after losing the WWE Championship. The Champ, thus, has a close bond with the American Nightmare. Furthermore, Cena also helped Rhodes finish his story at Mania 40.
Pat McAfee will do everything in his power to steal the championship from Rhodes. It also doesn’t help that the WWE Champion faces the most dangerous version of Randy Orton. Therefore, the American Nightmare needs all the help he can get, which could come in the form of the Greatest of All Time.
In contrast to Jelly Roll’s potential involvement, Cena’s interference will most definitely be well-received. The Champ has considerable history with both Rhodes and Orton to warrant a say in the outcome. Not only would this create another great Mania moment, but it could also lead to a chilling confrontation between Cena and Orton.
