John Cena will host WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, the record 17-time World Champion has revealed.
Cena will return to the setting that he won his final Undisputed WWE Championship in to ensure WWE WrestleMania 42 runs smoothly.
WWE WrestleMania 42 takes place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026.
WWE dedicated 2025 to John Cena’s Retirement Tour, which ended when Gunther tapped him out in December.
Will Cena Get Involved in Main Event?
Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE WrestleMania 42. He will be hoping lighting doesn’t strike twice as it was Rhodes who lost to Cena last year.
Randy Orton looks to win his 15th World Championship in WWE by dethroning Rhodes. But will Cena get involved?
Cena might be worried Orton is hot on his heels to breaking his record. So Cena might look to prevent Orton from winning the title.
Orton has a 69% implied win probability, according to Oddschecker. Oddschecker is a market analyst for the betting market.

John Cena WWE WrestleMania Celebrity Involvement
Cena will probably look to stay out of the main event of WWE WrestleMania 42, and instead probably have some sort of celebrity angle.
Jelly Roll and iShow Speed have both shown up in WWE on the Road to WrestleMania and would make for an entertaining segment with Cena in Las Vegas.
Finally, with Gunther seemingly with nothing to do at WWE WrestleMania 42, perhaps he will take offence to the man he retired getting a role on the show.
WWE Raw takes place tonight at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York.
