A graphic of AEW Collision preview

AEW Collision Preview (4/2/26) – Thursday Night in Winnipeg

Basketball coverage Saturday night means AEW Collision will air Thursday, April 2nd, at 8 pm instead of Saturday, April 4th. Taped in Winnipeg on Wednesday night at the Canada Life Centre after AEW Dynamite. With seven big matches announced and likely plenty more last-minute graphic drops and AEW Dynamite fallout, expect more build to AEW Dynasty.

My earlier speculation proved right in plenty of places! First, we got the hometown return of one Chris Jericho. What one seemed unlikely- even to the guy who wrote a what-if of Jericho staying and having a final run– opened Dynamite. Will we hear from Chris Jericho? And if so, will he be using the Cornerstone moniker he recently trademarked?

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are coming into FTR’s territory. AEW Collision has been synonymous with the AEW World Tag Team champions. Will we get a match first to build to an angle? Or will these units get straight to fighting?

Bangers will be stacked. From Juice Robinson going against Tommaso Ciampa to Anthony Bowens stepping up against the AEW Continental champion, Jon Moxley. Plus, with The Don Callis Family taking on The Rascalz, you know we’re going to be in for a good time.

TBS Open Challenge

Willow Nightingale will put her AEW TBS Championship on the line in an open challenge. There’s been speculation already, given the former TBS champion is in town. Mercedes Moné’s belt-collector reign is coming to an end. Ultimo Moné proved, despite hate and suggestions of politics, that she was willing to put over the local talent on the way out. If Mone returns, what’s next for her character? Well, I speculated on this when predicting All In London 2026.

Maybe, though, we could get someone else. Perhaps another former AEW Women’s champion, such as Nyla Rose, who is unable to compete on US soil, but could definitely wrestle in countries like Canada. Or perhaps Hikaru Shida or Dr Britt Baker could make their return?

Or, with buzz surrounding the recently released Dani Luna from TNA Wrestling, could we be spoiled with another fantastic addition to the AEW women’s roster?
