Among all the options in this list, this one is the most far-fetched, but it is also the most logical and intriguing. What if Pat McAfee is a pawn or cover? McAfee may be doing someone else’s dirty work: a certain someone who has plenty of history with Cody Rhodes.
The Rock has inserted himself into Rhodes’ WrestleMania storylines multiple times. He was the catalyst for John Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber 2025, and did everything in his power to prevent Rhodes from finishing his story at Mania 40. Given their history and perpetual beef, the Final Boss may have sent McAfee to get the job done.
But his master plan is yet to take place. Allegiant Stadium would erupt if the Rock’s iconic theme song plays during the climax of Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton. The Final Boss could come out and slash his throat. The distraction would allow Orton to hit the RKO for the win. WrestleMania Saturday could end with the power trio of the Rock, Randy Orton, and Pat McAfee.
