WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The cursed ones, Kit Wilson and The Miz, find themselves in a good spot, as they take on R-Truth and Damian Priest for the WWE Tag Team Titles. Prior to the match, Danhausen wanted to accompany them to the ring so he could remove the curse, but the two adamantly refused.
It was quite the first defense for Truth and Priest, because Miz and Kit were very close to winning the titles, if it wasn’t for Danhausen. With Miz and Wilson reeling, Danhausen would try to make the tag, even though he wasn’t even in the match, so Danhausen switched sides and got tagged in by R-Truth.
Danhausen would try to curse The Miz, but ended up cursing the referee. Miz had Danhausen positioned for the Skull-Crushing Finale, but the lights went out, and Danhausen escaped.
The Miz would hit the Skull-Crushing Finale on Truth, unfortunately, before the three, the referee’s right arms would cramp up, allowing Truth to tag Priest in, hit South of Heaven, to retain, as the ref counted with his left arm.
After the match, Cody Rhodes would rush the ring and Cross Rhodes Kit Wilson. Rhodes was heated, saying that Pat McAfee revealing himself was like the third man in the nWo being Disco Inferno.
Cody Rhodes would go scorch-earth, saying everybody who doubts him and how he runs things as Undisputed WWE Champion, pushing him to the dark side, can “kiss his a*s.” And now, if they want him to hear the voices, they’ve succeeded, but they don’t want to know what they’re saying
United States Championship Match
To determine who faces Trick Williams for the U.S. Championship at WrestleMania 42, Sami Zayn grants Carmelo Hayes his rematch in the main event. As you would expect, these two brought it tonight. Unfortunately, an errant landing on a Front Flip Dive on the outside would cost Hayes the match.
Despite his injury, Hayes would fight, hitting the First 48. Melo would find it in himself to scale the ropes and try to hit Nothing But Net, but Hayes would miss and land on his feet. The landing was so brutal that the referee had to check on Melo in the corner.
But uncharacteristically, Sami Zayn would not care, hitting a Helluva Kick to retain the title. Post-match, Lil Yachty would congratulate Zayn, before they assaulted him, with Trick hitting the Trick Kick and hoisting up the U.S. Title to end the night.
That’s all for REAL-TIME WWE SmackDown results as they happened from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 3, 2026.
