#4. Roman Reigns vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. CM Punk at WrestleMania 41: Night One
Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins absolutely hate each other, but their fates were intricately intertwined. There was too much history and disdain to ignore, and WWE finally booked the long-awaited Triple Threat as the main event of WrestleMania 41: Night One.
If the mutual disdain wasn’t enough, Paul Heyman’s true allegiance added another element of intrigue to this rivalry. Heyman walked into the match as Punk’s best friend rather than Reigns’ “Wise Man.” With so many combustible elements involved, the WWE Universe could sense something memorable.
As expected, the veterans tore the house down and stole the show. Reigns was particularly fired up, dishing out immense punishment to his opponents, including Powerbombs through the announce table. There were near falls, submission moves, and chair shots, but it was the ending that had everyone talking.
With both his guys laid out, Heyman had a choice to make. The Father of ECW first passed the chair to Punk, only to turn on the Straight Edge Superstar and side with the OTC. However, Heyman wasn’t done yet. The Hall of Famer sold his soul to the devil, who just happened to be Seth “Freakin” Rollins that night.
It was a shocking moment that laid the foundation for the Vision, which would dominate RAW for much of 2025. For a WrestleMania that didn’t have many great moments, Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Punk may have been the saving grace.
