WWE WrestleMania 41 Night 1 Preview (4/19/25) – Card, Time, Watch

Best Roman Reigns Matches at WWE WrestleMania, Thus Far

#2. Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes in a Bloodline Rules Match for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40: Night Two

If you want to show a non-wrestling fan what WWE is all about, you should show them Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes II at WrestleMania 40. After The Rock pinned Rhodes on Night One, The American Nightmare’s fate was sealed as he had to face impossible odds in a Bloodline Rules match. He was truly in the Endgame.

It had all the ingredients of a generational match: action, storytelling, drama, and surprises. Reigns and Rhodes started slow, but they soon dug deep into their respective playbooks. However, both men had to bring something extra special, and they began stealing each other’s finishers for a few near falls.

The excitement was in the air, and we could feel a fever pitch. The Usos came out first, and their night ended with Jey Spearing Jimmy off the stage. Next, Solo Sikoa emerged to do Reigns’ dirty work yet again, but John Cena ran down to take down the Enforcer.

In an iconic revisit from their generational clash at WrestleMania 28, The Final Boss came down and stared down the Champ. Cena took a Rock Bottom, turning the tide towards The Bloodline yet again. The Shield’s music hit, and Seth Rollins, who promised to be Rhodes’ Shield, entered the fray only to eat a Superman Punch.

It looked as if The Bloodline would reign supreme again, but the gong hit, and The Undertaker Chokeslammed the Final Boss into oblivion. In the end, Rollins sacrificed himself for Rhodes, and The American Nightmare finally finished his story. It was an emotional, feel-good moment that fans will never forget anytime soon.
