NXT Underground Match – Lola Vice defeated Kelani Jordan (2,75/5)
What to retain? What’s next? One of the most hate-fueled feuds heading into the show was between Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice. Jordan had bragged about being the first person to make Vice submit, albeit with the help of Vice’s injured right hand. I have to confess, I have never seen an NXT Underground match. The dark atmosphere contrasted with the match’s shining violence.
Jordan adapted greatly to this “different” world, easily mixing her gymnastics background with the submission style. The match was aided by Vice trying her best to keep the injured hand away from Jordan, but once Jordan got a hold of it, she was off to the races. Vice, as a former MMA talent, played the game perfectly. A nasty Spinning Back Fist gave her the KO victory. Now, will Jordan and Vice have another match before one of them is more than probably called up to the main roster?

NXT Championship Match – Joe Hendry (c) defeated Ricky Saints (2,5/5)
What to retain? What’s next? Why don’t I believe in Joe Hendry? He is not a good Champion and a good heel. Hendry has such impassioned, cult-like support from his fans that he could have never won a single world title, and he probably never should have. Before his TNA World Title reign, he was a viral sensation and a solid hand in the ring. He’s not the most exciting wrestler in the world, so not the greatest Champion.
The main event switched into the least interesting match of the PLE. Hendry’s song and charisma don’t make him a great wrestler. Being a fan favorite is not the key to triumph. I waited the entire match for Ethan Page’s arrival. We knew it was going to happen because Ricky Saints asked for his help. A NutCracker ball ended the match, Hendry retained, and we already know that the NXT Stand & Deliver main event will be Hendry vs. Starks vs. Page for the NXT Championship.
That’s all for the NXT Vengeance Day 2026 review. Till our weekly NXT “rendezvous,” may the Nygma be with you.
