TNA Thursday Night iMPACT Results and Review (01/22/26) – A Shocking Twist of Fate

The 12 Competitors for Feast or Fired were: Steve Maclin, Eric Young, The Hometown Man, Trey Miguel, Mance Warner, accompanied by Steph De Lander, Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, AJ Francis, Brian Myers, Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Ryan Nemeth. A X-Division Championship chance, a World Title chance, and an International Championship chance were up for grabs. The infamous Pink Slip means that you’re fired.

Trey Miguel Re-Signs With TNA Wrestling

Trey Miguel tried to pull down briefcase #2 before AJ Francis threw him down for his own attempt. Hometown Man grabbed briefcase #1, but Eric Young took the briefcase and his mask. Hotch went for briefcase #2, only for Steve Maclin to perform a Caught in the Crosshairs. Trey Miguel tried for briefcase #4, and Nemeth tried to pull Miguel away, but Miguel got the case.

Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers tried to grab briefcase #3. It was teamwork by The System, but Myers fell to the floor, and Edwards has case #3. Nygma says: Four “big” names won. I’ll need to dissect that in another piece.

The Era of Elayna Black

Elayna Black told the crowd that she is the only one they should be paying attention to. She wanted to be very clear that she is the only one for that TNA Knockouts Title. She will be competing next week. We are living in the era of Elayna. Nygma says: Nothing. I know Cora Jade, not Elayna Black. Let me see her compete on the Impact Zone first.

“Jeffrey” Had the Last Word

Earlier in the night, Mustafa Ali asked Gia Miller to shut up. He will prove tonight that he is better than “Jeffrey and Matthew.” Nygma says, In 2026, we don’t tell a woman to shut up, Mr. Ali. So, in Ali, I don’t trust.

Of course, the whole Order 4 accompanied Mustafa Ali, which meant bad things for Jeff Hardy. Hardy threw Ali out of the ring twice. Hardy had Ali on the ropes, but Ali tried to analyze Jeff and found his opening. Ali got his moment and threw Jeff outside the ring. Matt came to aid Jeff, but was kicked away by Special Agent 0. Tasha Steelz got involved while the referee was distracted.

Special Agent 0 moved the steel steps. Jeff used it to perform a Twist of Fate on Ali. Ali went face-first into the turnbuckle. Steelz interfered, but Ali performed a second Twist of Fate. Ali stole the World Tag Team belt. Matt fought back, but Special Agent 0 knocked him out. Ali attempted a neckbreaker, but Jeff countered with a Twist of Fate.

Ali became distracted by a surprise from Elijah, allowing Jeff Hardy to finish the match with another Twist of Fate into a Swanton Bomb. The Righteous watched backstage, saying they are not done with The Hardys. Nygma says, No, nothing is done yet between the Hardys, the Righteous, Elijah, and Ali. Sad but true.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
