TNA Thursday Night iMPACT Results and Review (01/22/26) – A Shocking Twist of Fate

The Nygma’s View

Cedric Alexander Shocks The System

TNA Wrestling announced the match a few hours before the show: Cedric Alexander v. Moose. Despite the back injury he sustained at TNA Genesis, Moose said he would be in Albuquerque. He had to push through the pain. Moose dropkicked Alexander to the outside of the ropes. Cedric dove through the ropes, colliding with Moose on the outside.

Alexander hit a massive Suplex, knocking both to the ground. Moose hit a Uranage. Moose slammed Cedric with a Go To Hell for two. Alexander hit Moose with a Spanish Fly, then reversed a Powerbomb to score the pinfall. Alisha Edwards couldn’t do anything to prevent this from happening. Nygma says, Half a Moose is better than nothing. Alexander prevailed, but Moose was there.

Papi Time

Last week, on the premiere of Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC, Mike Santana regained the TNA World Championship. He successfully defended it at TNA Genesis. He reminded the crowd that last week, AJ Styles passed him the torch, handing him the keys to lead TNA Wrestling into the AMC era. Styles, a man Santana has respected and admired his whole career, built that place that he now has the keys to. Santana gave a shout-out to his rival Frankie Kazarian. Santana lifted the World Title in victory.

Santana said that it also means he has the biggest target on his back, more than ever. Nic Nemeth has the Call Your Shot trophy. Whoever wins the World Championship chance at the Feast or Fired is also a challenger. “My back is against the wall, but I like it that way because it’s where I feel the most at home,” said Santana. “I stand here in front of all of you as THE guy. I’ve earned my way here, I deserve to be here, and I belong here.” Nygma says, Nothing, I believe in Boricua.

Indi Hartwell

The Personal Concierge heckled the crowd before M by Elegance, with The Elegance Brand, faced Indi Hartwell. Hartwell hit M with an Elbow Drop. M and the Concierge threw down an onslaught of punches to Hartwell’s feet at ringside. Hartwell took a kick to the face and was thrown out of the ring, only for Heather by Elegance to get involved. M suplexed Hartwell on the mat. M countered the Hurts Donut. Hartwell reversed a pin attempt to score the pinfall.

After the match, Heather attacked her from behind, but Ash broke that up. It was three on one before Léi Ying Lee and Xia Brookside rushed to aid Indi. Ash had a change of heart as The Elegance Brand assaulted Hartwell, Lee, and Brookside. The Elegance Brand then celebrated backstage.
