Huge Tag Team Match Featuring Four Former Champions Made Official for Saturday Night’s Main Event

The card for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event is coming together. Shortly after WWE announced that Jey Uso will be defending his championship against Logan Paul, this week’s Raw saw another huge match added to the May card as Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker will take on CM Punk and Sami Zayn in what looks to be Rollins and Breakker’s first action as a duo.

It all started when Punk came out on Raw to address his recent frustration. Punk was angry at Heyman and at “Temu CM Punk” Seth Rollins, but mostly he was mad at himself. He was mad at himself because he allowed himself to trust Heyman again, even though he knew how that story was going to end. The same way it did 12 years ago when Heyman brutalized Punk with a ladder and required him to get 13 staples in his head. Stab him in the back once, shame on Heyman but stab him in the back twice, that was on Punk. Jey Uso warned him about Heyman but Punk didn’t listen because he thought that he and Heyman had grown and matured and that he could trust his best friend. But at the end of the day, Punk said it’s on him because Heyman is who he’s always been, a fat little snake. Punk turned to the camera to call out Heyman because they both knew how this was going to end.

Heyman came out, flanked by Rollins and Breakker as Punk told his former friend to choose his words wisely because they would be his last. But Heyman didn’t say a word. The Wiseman let his client do the talking for him. Rollins’ hatred for Punk is alive and well and stronger than it’s ever been. Rollins said Punk was gaslighting the crowd and playing the victim. It makes him sick. Punk is selfish, egotistical, and scum. Just when Rollins thought he couldn’t despise him more than he already did, Punk stood there and cost him his chance at the world championship. Punk fired back that Rollins would never be champion as long as he was still on two feet. Rollins laughed. Punk so desperately wants to die a martyr…the Architect turned to Breakker. That can be arranged.

Breakker walked toward the ring and he and Punk started brawling as Rollins watched. Punk managed to take out Breakker and then made a beeline to Rollins. But Breakker got back up and it was two-on-one until…Sami Zayn for the second week in a row, came out to save someone from the unholy alliance. Zayn got to Breakker but Breakker quickly took care of him as he and Rollins turned their attention back to Punk. Heyman handed Rollins a chair as Breakker held him in place. Before Rollins could swing the chair however, Uso came out to make the save. Breakker and Rollins overwhelmed Uso but the duo scattered as Zayn and Punk hit the ring with chairs for backup.

Shortly after, it was announced that Rollins/Breakker would face Zayn/Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Both duos were then seen backstage. Punk seemed a little hesitant to trust anyone but Zayn said he felt the same before War Games but that worked out pretty well for all of them. Zayn said he and Punk aren’t all that different. They both have goals but neither of them can accomplish those goals with Rollins, Breakker, and Heyman dominating things. It was up to the two of them to work together to take out their common enemy. Zayn and Punk fistbumped. Then, we saw Rollins motivating Breakker. Rollins said Zayn and Punk had no idea what they were walking into before he whispered something to Breakker and told him to have fun tonight.
