WWE Raw Tonight (5/12/25)
It seems like Seth Rollins may need more than just his enforcer Bron Breakker…
WWE Raw tonight opened with a video package recapping last week’s main event that saw Rollins challenge Jey Uso for the world title. The match was chaotic and ultimately ended when Breakker, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk all got involved. And that led to Punk opening WWE Raw tonight. Punk said he was pissed off at so many people but none more than himself. Punk said he knows how this story ends because it’s not the first time Paul Heyman stabbed him in the back. Stab me once, shame on you, stab me twice, shame on him. Punk said it’s his fault for trusting Heyman again, some 12 years after Heyman smashed Punk with a ladder causing him to need 13 staples in his head. Punk apologized to Jey Uso because Uso warned him about Heyman but Punk didn’t listen. Punk said he thought both he and Heyman grew, he thought they both matured. Punk said he did. At the end of the day though, it’s on Punk because Heyman is who he’s always been, a fat little snake. And Rollins is nothing more than a Temu CM Punk. Punk looked directly in the camera and said Heyman knows how this ends when he gets his hands on his fat little neck on WWE Raw tonight.

Cue Heyman’s music as the Wiseman came out on WWE Raw tonight. Punk demanded an explanation but told Heyman to choose his words wisely because they would be his last. But before Heyman could say anything, Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, aka Heyman’s insurance policies, came out to flank their guy on WWE Raw tonight. Rollins was booed as he started talking telling Punk he didn’t think the man could be any more selfish or egotistical. Rollins said Punk was gaslighting the crowd making them think Heyman betrayed him. It makes Rollins sick. Rollins said Punk is scum, trash, human excrement. And just when he thought he couldn’t hate the man anymore, Punk cost him his world heavyweight championship match last week. Punk promised Rollins he’d never be world champion so long as he was standing. Rollins laughed saying Punk loves to play the victim and cry poor CM Punk. He so desperately wants to die a martyr…Rollins turned to Breakker. That can be arranged on WWE Raw tonight.
Breakker and Punk started brawling inside the ring as Rollins looked on. Punk fought back and took out both men but the numbers game quickly took over until Zayn made his way out. Zayn handled Breakker briefly but then Heyman handed Rollins a chair. Breakker grabbed Punk by the neck as they prepared to execute him but Jey Uso was out to make the save. Breakker and Uso got the advantage on Uso but then Zayn and Punk hit the ring with chairs. Three on two for the good guys on WWE Raw tonight. Seems like Rollins and Breakker will need a new recruit…
This match on WWE Raw tonight was supposed to be Penta vs El Grande Americano but as Chad Gable noted, Grande is on a hero’s tour of Mexico. So Gable valiantly stepped up for his idol. Gable and Penta locked up early on, looking for an advantage. As the match went on, Gable got Penta on the ropes and tried to take his mask off but Penta fought him off and climbed to the top to take out Gable with an arm drag followed by a hurricanrana. Penta looking to fly but no Gable cuts him off with a diving headbutt before saying “lucha libre sucks.” Definitely not something El Grande would ever say. And that was one of the best parts of this match on WWE Raw tonight was the back and forth of Michael Cole continuing to say Gable and Grande were the same and Pat McAfee continuing to deny it. But Cole made a good point. You can’t hide a steel plate without a mask…
The match continued through the commercial break with Gable maintaining the advantage after a series of nearfalls and mat-based wrestling. Gable used a series of submissions to wear down Penta. As WWE Raw tonight returned from commercial, Penta began to take over with a huge superkick as Ivy Nile looked on. Another kick to Gable in the corner before a handstand kick to the midsection. Penta off the ropes but Gable caught him with a suplex and nearfall. Gable to the top rope but Penta caught him with a codebreaker and nearfall. Penta with some incredible athleticism but Gable with some innovative offense of his own. As the match on WWE Raw tonight neared its end, both guys with a series of nearfalls. Penta set up for the armbreaker but Gable into an ankle lock in the middle of the ring. Roll ups for both guys before Gable gets Penta up on the ropes. But Penta fights back and hits a Mexican Destroyer off the top for the win. Gable’s lucha woes continue.
Guilia and Roxanne Perez cut a pre-recorded promo saying they aren’t here to wait. They are taking over the women’s division by storm and doing so by going after the women at the very top. They are there to make their own history. They are the future of this industry. And the future starts now.
Back in the clubhouse on WWE Raw tonight, Judgment Day was celebrating Liv Morgan’s movie. Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez talked about how they missed her. Mysterio chatted with Finn Balor and Balor said Mysterio seemed paranoid just like Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley when they were champs. Balor said it all worked out and he was going to take care of AJ Styles tonight. And then JD McDonagh tried to teach Mysterio about how timezones worked. Priceless.
Punk and Zayn were backstage talking about the match but Punk said he was having a hard time trusting anyone right now. Zayn said he had a hard time trusting Punk at War Games but it worked out. He said he likes to do things his way and so does Punk but the truth is neither of them will get anything with those guys standing in the way. The two fist bump and agree to work together to take them out.
Backstage with Rollins and Breakker. Rollins told Breakker they probably feel like they have them against the wall and are winning this battle as Heyman smirked in the background. Rollins said they have no idea. Rollins whispered to Breakker and told him to have some fun.
Jey Uso talked about Logan Paul’s challenge and said he’d beat him at SNME before Gunther arrived. He said the unimaginable came true. Uso reminded Gunther he made him tap out as the crowd chanted it. Gunther said he knows what it’s like to be a champion as he’s been one for 80 percent of his time in WWE. There’s a lot of pressure but just because he understands doesn’t mean his opinion of him has changed. Gunther says unlike him, Uso isn’t a natural champion. But since he likes to run his mouth, he’s wondering why Uso hasn’t spread the news. As Adam Pearce told him, the winner of the Paul/Uso match will face Gunther on June 9 in Phoenix. Gunther said he hopes it’s Uso because he would love nothing more than to shut him and all the fans up for good. He would love nothing more than to outclass him in the ring and remind him where his place is. Uso said he’s in his place and he runs this place with the title. He’s going to handle the Youtuber and then him and the Ring General are going to walk it back. He’s going to walk out as world heavyweight champion.
Adam Pearce is done with the tag teams. New Day are defending their titles against the Viking Raiders and the Creeds. It’s a triple threat.
Backstage, Ludwig Kaiser is being interviewed as Bron Breakker attacks Jey Uso with a lead pipe. Zayn and Punk arrive on the scene as the action heads back to the ring.
Balor vs Styles in a fantastic showdown as Judgment Day tries to interfere. Penta shows up to take out Carlito and McDonagh as Balor looks on, losing focus. Styles with a phenomenal forearm to take the victory.
Becky Lynch was in the ring to cut a promo. She sat on the top rope as she said she wasn’t beaten on Saturday. Lyra was beaten. Lynch said one of us was taken to a hospital and the other went to her nice bus and basked in her brilliance. Her. After everything Lyra has done to her, attacking her character, Lynch still made her the best version of herself and gave her the best match of her career. She’s never mattered more in her entire life and it’s thanks to Becky. When the bell rang after the match, she heard an alarm in her ear. She realized how much she had been manipulated by Lyra and the fans. Becky said she walked away for almost a year because the fans asked her to. She stepped away because she’s always been for the people. She has them to thank for her career. They carried her to the main event of WrestleMania. We were in this together but then something happened. She won and they couldn’t see themselves in her anymore. All they know is failure. They hate what they can’t understand. Becky was asked if she missed it. She said she missed being in the ring but she liked herself more because she didn’t have to listen to the fans. The same lies she hears repeated from Lyra. She didn’t have to prove herself but that all changes. From now on, whatever they say she is, she is. She’s selfish, greedy, cutthroat. And all the girls in the back that were happy she was gone are finally going to realize what its like to be held down by the Man.
Pre-recorded Rusev promo. He said he didn’t want to do that to Otis but he had to. He needs them to wake up. No one cares that you are missing your family or that your choice is hurt or be hurt. Last week, Tozawa stepped up and the crowd cheered. But they still seek their approval. You let the sheep control the wolves. Rusev can see right through them. He won’t stop til his job is done. It hurts him to hurt them but he’s rather they fall at his hands then to fall into the abyss.
Tozawa was asking for a match with Rusev before Sheamus walked in and said when he’s cleared, he’s going to give Rusev hell. Sheamus told Pearce he needed to shake off some ring rust but wants to keep momentum going. Next week, Sheamus vs Grayson Waller. Pearce makes it official.
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY hit the ring against Roxanne Perez and Guilia, making her in-ring debut. Both groups go back and forth in the early going looking for an advantage. It’s the NXT girls that get an early edge but Ripley and SKY are able to work really well as a team to confront the seamless teamwork of Perez and Guilia. The action is fast-paced and pretty even as the show goes to commercial break. Guilia and SKY in the ring during the break with Guilia utilizing her strength and power to take down SKY. Perez back in as the two have SKY isolated in the middle of the ring. Perez legal and is taking it to the champ. Perez continues to taunt Ripley as SKY reaches for a tag. Back from the break, Perez is still in control, keeping SKY from a tag. But SKY finally gets a moment and is able to fight off Perez and Guilia to make the tag. Ripley comes in hot and makes quick work of Perez. Ripley with a Razor’s Edge and dropkick for a nearfall. Perez fights back in the corner but only briefly. Ripley gets Perez on the ropes and sets up for another Razor’s Edge but no, Perez fights back and counters with a hurricanrana for a nearfall of her own. Perez and Guilia isolate Ripley with a double team. The NXT duo continue to make Ripley uncomfortable but she manages a tag at the same time as Guilia. SKY and Guilia with a quick pace as SKY with the missile dropkick from the top rope. All four women showed their skills as the match came to an end. SKY to the top with an overthemoonsault but Perez breaks up the cover. Ripley throws SKY into Guilia. SKY from the top. Guilia takes out Ripley and climbs to the top with SKY. Huge suplex but no, Ripley breaks it up. SKY with a backbreaker to Guilia. Ripley tags in with SKY on the top and pushes Perez into Guilia. Headbutts Guilia. SKY and Ripley with a joint cover of both NXT girls for the win.
