5 TNA Wrestlers Who Would Be Perfect in WWE

5 TNA Wrestlers Who Would Be Perfect in WWE

The new WWE and TNA partnership has left pro wrestling fans giddy with excitement. While superstars appearing in different promotions isn’t unheard of, WWE rarely opens its doors to the competition.

Currently, the deal only allows TNA wrestlers to appear on NXT and select WWE PLEs. But, with the door now open between TNA and WWE, there’s no reason to suggest that crossovers into Raw and SmackDown are not a possibility in the future.

Here are five TNA superstars who would make waves on the red and blue brands if given the chance.

Josh Alexander

Josh Alexander is a high-flyer with a submission specialism and shoot style reminiscent of Kurt Angle. He also has a versatile move set suited to both singles and tag team competitions.

Alexander is a history maker with both the longest TNA World Championship and Impact World Tag Team Championship reigns in the promotion’s history. An admirable journeyman’s tale through the Canadian indies, Japan, and beyond.

A popular and respected wrestler throughout the industry, Alexander would be an excellent crossover star in WWE. There are plenty of Alexander’s greatest TNA foes in WWE ready to reignite a feud or fierce rivalry.

Excellent TNA bouts with Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, and Jacob Fatu, not to mention his long tag team history with Ethan Page, would help to lay the foundations for an impressive narrative in WWE. Alexander’s current TNA contract expires on February 15th. Could the Walking Weapon be WWE-bound?

Frankie Kazarian

At 47, Frankie Kazarian might seem a strange addition to this list. But there’s a reason he’s still a major player in TNA.

Still capable of captivating after 27 years in the business, Kazarian presents a grizzled, old-school competitor who would bring a welcomed contrast to the contemporary feel of WWE. One of the first signees to AEW in 2019 and the current Call Your Shot holder in TNA, Kazarian continues to operate at the cutting edge. Perhaps he’ll cash in his shot at NXT sometime soon.

Matt Cardona

The time seems right for Matt Cardona to return to WWE. Cardona, fka Zack Ryder, won the US, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Championships during a 14-year stint with WWE. Gifted on the mic and an intelligent self-promoter, Cardona often has half the battle won before he even steps in the ring.

Constantly reinventing and tweaking his gimmick, Cardona would be a creative powerhouse should he return to WWE. Forming an onscreen team with his wife Chelsea Green or a feud with Seth Rollins would be two great angles to help reintroduce Cardona to the WWE Universe.

Dani Luna

British tag team wrestlers are having a moment, and Dani Luna is more proof of that. An NXT UK alumnus and one-half of the reigning TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Luna is coming off the back of her finest year yet. 2024 saw Luna and her partner Jody Threat win the tag titles twice as well as defending them numerous times.

Luna was rewarded well by the PWI, climbing 116 places to 23rd in the 2024 rankings. Powerful, surprisingly agile, and confident beyond her 25 years, Luna would bring something different to WWE’s women’s division.

Joe Hendry

An obvious choice, but a valid choice nonetheless. Hendry has combined pop star prowess with a background in freestyle to scale the heights of professional wrestling. In a relatively short amount of time, Hendry has established himself as one of the most talked about wrestlers in the industry.

Being the reigning TNA World Champion, having dethroned Nic Nemeth last month, Hendry is guaranteed to make further appearances on NXT. His surprise Royal Rumble appearance concluded at the hands of none other than Roman Reigns but that won’t bother him too much.

His entrance received one of the biggest pops of the night, echoed by chants of “I believe in Joe Hendry!” If there’s a time to cash in on Joe Hendry, it’s now.
