WWE Raw tonight comes to us live tonight from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pity R-Truth is injured and cannot return to “Green Bay”. It’s WWE’s fifth visit to the venue since its 2018 opening. This marks their second visit in 2022 after having a typical pattern of coming during the holidays and breaking it this year for an April visit. That happened to be the April 8 edition of Smackdown where Gunther made his debut alongside Marcel Barthel, now renamed Ludwig Kaiser. Let’s take a look at this Monday Night Raw card.

Architect vs All Mighty

A United States title opportunity on the line as Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley clash yet again for the chance to go after current Champion, Austin Theory. The two former Champions have been looking for their chance at revenge following Theory’s escapade with the Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames.

The two have been more than capable of putting on spectacular matches in the past, not to mention it seems both of them have been very popular with fans as of late. Seth in particular getting over despite his heel antics until recent while Bobby Lashley has still retained his popularity in spite of his rather bizarre seemingly heel cup of coffee spat against Brock Lesnar. We’ll see tonight what happens next with two of Raw’s top stars and who goes on to face Austin Theory.

From NXT To Raw

Whether it gets referenced on the show or not, we’ll have to see. But a rather notable feud from NXT makes it’s way to the red brand this week. Candice LeRae is set to face one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, IYO SKY.

These two had a notable feud in late 2019 on NXT, after Io had turned on her, re-invented her look for the darker one we see nowadays and had a set of matches, their most notable match taking place on NXT Takeover: Toronto II. Will they be allowed to recreate that chemistry and shine on Raw? We’ll have to see. But it’s two of Triple H’s golden girls. Hopefully we can move past Candace and Gargano’s recent “Vince-ish” portrayals.

There’s Just Something About Alexa

We have a second #1 Contender’s match scheduled for the night as Bayley looks to take yet another crack at Bianca Belair. To do that though, she’ll have to go through Alexa Bliss. Given Bayley’s recent brushes with The Man, Becky Lynch, as well as the already mentioned previous matches with Bianca, it seems rather doubtful another match between the two will take place.

Meanwhile, Alexa Bliss seems to be “subtly” be falling down that rabbit hole of Bray Wyatt-ism again. Though the usual idea of subtle in WWE still seems to be them making things amusingly obvious. As Bray Wyatt logos show up behind her, her doll appears around her, the usual. It’s not really a question of when we go back to “Wyafied” Bliss. But of when. I wonder if Bianca is going to end up dealing with black goo like Randy Orton had to.

All that and more, tonight on WWE Raw tonight.
