Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #205 (2/27/22)

ChocoPro 205

ChocoPro #205 is the second show in a three-day sprint and it’s set to follow an exciting episode. On the previous show, the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship was on the line in a match that went the distance. Now, the Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling crew will see the fallout on this episode, which will be a two-match card. It will also serve as an appetizer for the wrestling anniversary of Gatoh Move’s tropical powerhouse. Without any further delay, let’s take a look into the show to come.

ChocoPro #205 Full Card

Baliyan Akki vs. Sayaka Obihiro vs. SAKI

ChocoPro #204 did not end the way that Best Bros planned. On this show, Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki defended the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship against Masahiro Takanashi and Chris Brookes, collectively known as CDK. To say that this was a competitive match would be an understatement, both teams trading blows and momentum throughout. Ultimately, CDK came away the new Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, leaving Best Bros emotionally devastated. Suruga was set to compete on ChocoPro #205, though due to damage sustained in the aforementioned title match, she will temporarily be out of action. Now, with one championship short, Akki will fight solo and he’ll have to be at the top of his game.

This is especially true given the caliber of opponents he’s up against. Sayaka Obihiro is nothing short of a veteran, able to use her technical expertise to give opponents of varying experiencing levels a challenge. Gatoh Move’s “Blue Heart” will also have to contend with COLOR’S Girl’s Prowrestling Unit! representative and former Pro Wrestling WAVE Tag Team Champion SAKI. She was unsuccessful the last time she was on ChocoPro, teaming with Obihiro in a losing effort against Trans Am Hiroshi and TAMURA.

Yuna Mizumori vs. Sayaka

In the main event of ChocoPro #205, “Tropical Yahho” Yuna Mizumori squares off with “The Beautiful Cosplayer,” Sayaka. For those that don’t know, Mizumori is approaching a landmark in her professional wrestling: four years in professional wrestling. It has been an eventful four years for the idol turned wrestler as well, but it’s a touch early to celebrate. It’s worth noting that “Yunamon” is coming off a major win back on Episode #203, where she teamed with Shin Suzuki to defeat Sawasdee Kamen and Cherry. On this episode, Mizumori stands alone as she battles the soft-spoken, hard-hitting fourth-generation star in Sayaka.

This is only the second time that Mizumori and Sayaka have battled one on one this year. This past January, the two squared off on ChocoPro #188; coincidentally, this was also a main event contest. Despite Sayaka’s best efforts, “The Tropical Girl” emerged victorious. Since that time, the cosplay enthusiast struggled to pick up victories, though her blossoming offense speaks for itself. Simply put, win or lose, she’s becoming a more formidable opponent with each match. On ChocoPro #205, Sayaka has the opportunity to spoil Mizumori’s wrestling anniversary before it begins. Watch this main event unfold on the official Gatoh Move YouTube channel.
