NWA Powerrr Card (6/22/21) – Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb Speak

NWA Powerrr 6/22/21

Two of the top stars in the National Wrestling Alliance women’s division speak, another NWA National Championship qualifying match, the two top singles champions speaking their minds – these are just a few of the events set to take place on this week’s NWA Powerrr. There’s certainly no shortage of things to see and experience on this episode. For those that would like a primer before the show airs live on FITE, at 6:05 PM EST as always, here is what you should know.

Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb Speak on NWA Powerrr

One of the major events set to unfold tonight is Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb taking to the podium to speak their minds. To say that these are two of the well-known stars in the women’s division would be an understatement. Up until NWA When Our Shadows Fall, which took place earlier this month, Deeb was the NWA World Women’s Champion. Meanwhile, Thunder Rosa became one of the most popular stars in the company. Also, not unlike Deeb, she can lay claim to being a former World Women’s Champion. On this show, they will set in-ring action aside.

If there’s anyone that should be watching this open forum, it would have to be the current NWA World Women’s Champion, Kamille. Despite being unpinned and unsubmitted in the NWA, she will have to keep an eye on any future challengers. This is especially true given not just Deeb and Rosa, but other wrestlers such as Melina and the newest women’s signee, Kylie Rae. For those that are fans of Rosa and Deeb alike, the aforementioned open forum will be one to keep an eye on.

Chris Adonis vs. Thom Latimer vs. Parrow – NWA National Championship Qualifier

The road toward the NWA National Championship continues with another qualifying match. Last week, on NWA Powerrr, it was JTG that emerged victorious in his three-way match, defeating Fred Rosser and El Rudo. Tonight, it will be Chris Adonis, Thom Latimer, and Parrow in their own three-way contest. On the surface, the odds are stacked against Parrow, who is one-half of The End alongside Odinson. Meanwhile, Chris Adonis and Thom Latimer are members of Strictly Business, which means that Parrow may very well be competing in what is essentially a handicap contest.

The odds are stacked even further when viewers consider that Adonis was the most recent NWA National Champion. He won the title from Trevor Murdoch this past March. However, Adonis elected to vacate the title so that he could compete in a battle royal to determine a new number one contender for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Meanwhile, as a former NWA World Tag Team Champion, Latimer has yet to hold singles gold in the promotion. It’s not farfetched to assume that matters between the two Strictly Business members will become pear-shaped in this match. Regardless, Parrow will have to be at the top of his game.

Other Events Expected on NWA Powerrr:

Nick Aldis, the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, and Kamille, the NWA World Women’s Champion, stand atop the National Wrestling Alliance. Despite this, they seem to believe that they are being treated unfairly by NWA management. Whether it’s the continued efforts of Trevor Murdoch or the ever-growing women’s competition for Kamille, the new top champions in the company will air their grievances on tonight’s show.

The mysterious masked man made his NWA debut a few weeks ago. Since then, his mystique has only increased. What are his origins? Who truly is the man underneath the old-school wrestling mask? On this week’s NWA Powerrr, he will compete in his first-ever NWA match against Matthew Mims. How will the masked newcomer fare against one of the most powerful upstarts in the company?

Speaking of the masked man in question, Slice Boogie was one of the first NWA talents to step up to him. Tonight, Boogie will be in action, taking on Crimson in a special grudge match. Crimson has been seeing momentum as one-half of The War Kings alongside Jax Dane. Expect this grudge match to be nothing short of hard-hitting.

Tyrus, who recently picked up a huge non-title victory over NWA World Television Champion The Pope at When Our Shadows Fall, will also be in action. He will take on Jordan Clearwater and BLK Jeez in a two-on-one handicap match. Tyrus is out for respect and it’s fair to say he will do anything to seize it.
