Mahabali Shera Returns to IMPACT Wrestling

Mahabali Shera IMPACT Wrestling

On this week’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling, Rohit Raju battled TJP. For fans, this was meant to be a showcase of the action that has become synonymous with the X-Division. However, what they didn’t expect was the return of an IMPACT star. By the end of the match, fans not only saw the return of said star but the formation of a union as well. Mahabali Shera returned to IMPACT Wrestling and has joined the side of Raju.

The match between Rohit Raju and TJP was what anyone would expect from standard X-Division fare. In other words, it was a fast-paced contest between two wrestlers with something to prove. Furthermore, the personalities involved were big, which provided the match with that much more weight. Near the end of the match, Raju hit TJP with a jumping knee, sending the latter to the outside. TJP rolled under the ring, which would prove to be his undoing. Emerging from the ring was the returning Mahabali Shera, who hit TJP with an apron chokeslam. This allowed Raju to pick up the pinfall victory and, just as importantly, a new ally in Shera.

Mahabali Shera enjoyed a run in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, later to be known as IMPACT Wrestling, from 2014 to 2017. During this time, he wrestled under the name Khoya. He also worked with the likes of Tigre Uno, Manik, and Abyss, picking up sizable victories over them along the way. Khoya would also work with Braxton Sutter and Kongo Kong in his final year with IMPACT, departing in November of that year before signing with WWE in early 2018.

As Amanpreet Singh, Shera worked multiple NXT live events from March to September of 2018. He would pick up wins over names such as Dan Matha and Jeet Rama. Singh would also work with the likes of EC3 and Kassius Ohno during these events. By April of 2019, however, Singh would leave the company. He returned to IMPACT in 2019 as Shera, not only working televised shows for the promotion but reporting to Ohio Valley Wrestling as well.
