#AndNew: KO-D Six-Man Titles Shocker

Six man titles

On DDT TV Show #12 it was sure to be an uphill battle for the challengers of Akito, Kazuki Hirata, and Shota as they challenged the seemingly unstoppable Eruption for the six-man titles. But the team who had gone on to collectively call themselves Young Communication went on to do just that and after a quick Gannosuke Clutch to Saki Akai from Shota. The titles changed hands in the main event of the show.

While a surprise the story of Eruption had been based around roll-ups in the past few months. One of their consistent opponents Hirata scored a notable pinfall over Yukio Sakaguchi using his Miracle One-shot cradle before he teamed with Nautilus for his first attempt at taking down Eruption. On that night he failed and Eruption would go on to hold both the six-man and tag titles. Later down the road at Ultimate Party, Hirata would nearly win a four-way trios match with the same cradle, but it would be reversed and Sakaguchi would pin Hirata using his own cradle. This was when the challenge was laid down by Young Communication.

At the same time, Akito has been on the rise ever since attaining his EVP staus. And it would be only a matter of time until he got his hands on another title after his impressive performances in King of DDT. And taking along a younger performer in Shota to the top with him raises intrigue of what the future of the title may be.

As for Eruption? Their time as rulers of the tag division was short, but they completed a feat that many units did not in holding both tag titles. And for a team that hasn’t been around that long, it is impressive and put this unit on the map.
