Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #62 (11/6/20)

ChocoPro 62

On the last episode of ChocoPro, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling founder Emi Sakura set up a huge match for the following show. This will not only feature a former DDT titleholder but the two members of Pencil Army on opposite sides. To say that this will be a unique match would be an understatement; this doesn’t even go into the rest of the action set for the show. Here is what’s been confirmed for episode sixty-two of ChocoPro.

Yuna Mizumori vs. Mei Suruga vs. Chie Koishikawa

Kicking off this episode of ChocoPro is a three-way contest between three of the most vibrant personalities in Gatoh Move. Yuna Mizumori will come into this match with a wave of momentum on her side; last time, she bested a game Tokiko Kirihara in an incredible main event. Mei Suruga will also enter this match with momentum; on the same episode, she teamed with Gatoh Move generational partner An Chamu in a winning effort over Pencil Army. Finally, Chie Koishikawa recently enjoyed a win alongside Antonio Honda, as they bested the duo of Sayuri and Baliyan Akki. What will happen when Gatoh Move’s “Pineapple Girl,” “Apple Devil,” and the rookie with “Too Much Energy” meet in one contest? Expect this to open the show on a strong note.

Emi Sakura and Hagane Shinnou vs. Lulu Pencil and Chris Brookes

Think back to ChocoPro episode forty-four back in September. On this show, Lulu Pencil challenged then-DDT Universal Champion Chris Brookes to a match; if Brookes won, he would claim the trademark pink baseball cap of Pencil Army’s commanding officer. Despite a spirited effort by Lulu Pencil, it was Brookes who emerged victorious. Brookes claimed his opponent’s hat as his own, and since then, Lulu Pencil’s quest to become stronger has been nothing short of unyielding.

The quest hasn’t been without its bumps in the roads, however. Time and time again, Lulu Pencil has fallen to opponents ranging from Tokiko Kirihara to Chon Shiryu. Nonetheless, her Pencil Army partner, Emi Sakura, has been with her each step of the way. Sakura even attempted to ease Lulu Pencil’s woes on the last episode of ChocoPro. Sakura told her trainee that she ordered new pink hats, complete with Pencil Army branding. Despite Sakura’s kind gesture, she was disappointed to hear that Lulu Pencil wanted her hat. Sakura, frustrated with her partner, made the match set to take place on this show.

This isn’t to say that Chris Brookes hasn’t seen his struggles as of late. Earlier this week, Dramatic Dream Team held its Ultimate Party 2020 event. On this night, Brookes defended his DDT Universal Championship against Yuki Ueno. In this well-received encounter, Ueno claimed the victory and the title. Brookes will enter ChocoPro episode sixty-two as a former champion, though this should provide him with the motivation needed to pick up a victory. This will be especially true as his style of offense meshes with the unpredictable, resourceful approach of Lulu Pencil.

The question remained: who would Emi Sakura select as her tag team partner? On the last episode of ChocoPro, Sakura was secretive as to who she will be pairing with. However, questions were answered recently as she revealed her partner as none other than Hagane Shinnou. The former Independent World Junior Heavyweight Champion was last seen in ChocoPro on episode forty-seven back in September. Since then, he continued his work for DDT. With Shinnou making his return on episode sixty-two, expect his duo with Sakura to pose a formidable challenge against Brookes and Lulu Pencil.
