Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #34 (7/24/20)

ChocoPro

Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling has been delivering quality matches for years and this mindset only intensified with the genesis of ChocoPro. Now that we are thirty-four episodes into the show in question, one may wonder how the stakes can get any higher. On this upcoming episode, viewers will see two ChocoPro season two MVPs candidates collide. Before the show, get a rundown on what Gatoh Move founder Emi Sakura and company have in store.

Mei Suruga vs. Tokiko Kirihara

Last time on ChocoPro, what should have been an easy victory for Tokiko Kirihara proved to be an upset that worked against her favor. She faced Emi Sakura, bad back and all, in a match that ended as quickly as began. Though the one known as “Otoki-san” fought with quick strikes and offense, the craftiness of Gatoh Move’s founder was too much, as Sakura rolled up Kirihara for the surprise three-count. Post-match, an irate Kirihara attacked everyone in sight, including an innocent Baliyan Akki.

Will this path of rage continue as Kirihara challenges Mei Suruga? Compared to the more serious demeanor of Kirihara, Suruga has been known as the bubbliest fighter in Gatoh Move. Furthermore, she fell short in her match against Mitsuru Konno on the last episode. Needless to say, Suruga will be looking to pick her momentum back up again. To do so, she will face to conquer a former kickboxer with a newly-developed mean streak.

Baliyan Akki vs. Pencil Army (Emi Sakura and Lulu Pencil)

In recent weeks, Lulu Pencil has found herself on the losing end of matches against Baliyan Akki. Though Lulu Pencil struggled to pick up victories against the sensation from India, each match proved to be a learning experience. More so, she has been lifted due to her partnership with Emi Sakura, her fellow Pencil Army member. On this episode of ChocoPro, Pencil Army has a chance to finally pick up a win. This time, the odds will be in their favor.

It’s important to note that handicap matches are uncommon in Gatoh Move. In fact, the last handicap match in the company dates back to this past January, when Sakura and Masahiro Takanashi teamed up to defeat rookies Chie Koishikawa, Rin Rin, and Lulu Pencil. Baliyan Akki may have the odds stacked against him, though this may be where his athletic prowess will be at its most useful. He may have saluted Pencil Army last time, but in this match, such respect will be set by the wayside.

Mitsuru Konno vs. Yuna Mizumori (ChocoPro Main Event)

On the previous ChocoPro, viewers saw Mitsuru Konno face Mei Suruga in a competitive match. Many viewers considered it to be one of the best matches of season two, as these wrestlers fought with different ideals. Between Konno’s focus on traditional values and Suruga’s more lighthearted demeanor, something had to give. By the end of the match in question, Konno stood tall. She may have also earned a little respect for the “Apple Girl” of Gatoh Move.

Post-match, Emi Sakura approached Konno with news regarding the next episode. The founder of the company announced that Konno would face none other than Yuna Mizumori. As popular as “The Beer Badass” has been in Gatoh Move, she has her work out for her. Much like Konno, Mizumori experienced her own ups and downs in ChocoPro. These led her to fight a number of emotional matches against Sakura, Suruga, and Baliyan Akki, just to name a few.

Since these matches, Mizumori has seemingly come back around. This isn’t to say that “The Pineapple Girl” of Gatoh Move has been a pushover, however. In fact, she has won her previous three matches, two of which she teamed with Konno to do so. Furthermore, she remains the only current female Gatoh Move regular, aside from Sakura, to be a titleholder. Yunamon isn’t short on confidence, either. Ergo, it’s safe to assume that this will play a role in the match to come.

As Gatoh Move continues to churn out “best match” candidates via ChocoPro, this upcoming bout between Konno and Mitsuru looks to be part of the class. Viewers must wonder: who will come out victorious? Will this be another in a long line of victories for “The Pineapple Girl” herself? Will the beer enthusiast of Gatoh Move continue her own winning ways? Tune into this upcoming episode of ChocoPro to find out!
