It looks set to be a busy 2026/27 for Aston Villa, with Modu Keba Cisse, Joao Gomes, and Johan Manzambi joining the club. Morgan Rogers is on the verge of joining Chelsea, and in other Aston Villa transfer news, it looks like a new winger could be joining Villa. Despite finishing fourth in the 2025/26 Premier League season and qualifying for the Champions League, one of Villa’s best players, Morgan Rogers, has elected to move down south and join Chelsea. Despite players departing, Emery has shown his managerial ability, and with new players coming into the club, Emery’s squad cannot be dismissed.
Emery has shown his ability to knot a squad together and be competitive, and there is no suggestion he will not be able to do it again, despite the impending departure of Rogers.

What Jonathan Rowe Would Bring to Aston Villa
With Rogers on the verge of leaving, Emery will be eager to bolster the attacking talent at his disposal. Rowe is most impressive with the ball at his feet, excelling when taking defenders on, which the Holte End faithful will love. He has been previously described as “Magic.”
Predominantly a left winger, but comfortable on either foot, making him a nightmare for defenders. Rowe would bring versatility to the Villa attack, able to operate anywhere across the attack. Rowe plays with a swag and has the capabilities Villa fans would appreciate.
Villa have Champions League football to look forward to, and keeping Emery for another season is a huge boost for the club. He has shown his value since moving to Villa Park, and despite departures happening, Villa fans will be eager to compete near the top end of the Premier League, while making a significant splash in Europe.
