Leeds United vs Sunderland: Latest Team News and Predicted Lineups

Last Word on Football brings you the latest team news and predicted lineups ahead of the Leeds United vs Sunderland Premier League clash at Elland Road on Tuesday night.

The Black Cats travel to Leeds having halted their three-game losing streak in the league at the weekend at Bournemouth. A win here would take them to their 40-point target for the season. United have drawn two and lost one of their last three, but a victory tonight would ease lingering relegation fears.

Leeds United vs Sunderland: Latest Team News and Predicted Lineups for March 3rd

Leeds United Team News

Daniel Farke expects to have James Justin and Joe Rodon available for selection despite their being doubts over the pair. He said: “He (Rodon) had some problems with his hamstring. It was in the beginning not clear if it was just a cramp or a light injury.

“We have assessed him, also scanned him. It seems like he is to be okay. So, as it stands, I expect him to be available for tomorrow. So, it looks okay.

“The only little question mark after the last game was James Justin because there was a straight leg against him. He needed to be stitched after the game because he was full of blood. But he is also a tough boy. I also hope that he is available for tomorrow.”

Therefore, United’s only player definitely out is Noah Okafor due to a hamstring injury.

Sunderland Team News

Rumours have been circulating on social media that goalkeeper Robin Roefs is likely to be out for around three weeks. However, at the time of writing, no official source has backed up these claims; therefore, at present, the Dutchman is expected to start as usual.
