2026 World Cup Matchday 14 Predictions Including Scotland vs Brazil

Groups A, B, and C will wrap up their third matches on Wednesday at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Switzerland and Canada clash to top group B, Scotland vs Brazil has knockout phase implications, and at least one remaining qualification spot from Group A is up for grabs, as Czechia takes on a rotated Mexico side that already qualified. Here is your look at all of the action.

Switzerland vs Canada (Wednesday June 24th in Vancouver)

The most anticipated clash of Wednesday, with Canada and Switzerland both sitting on four points, qualification is assured, but on goal difference, Canada currently tops the group and only needs a draw to go through as the #1 team. Canada’s explosive performance against Qatar was a big improvement from the draw against Bosnia, but Ismael Kone broke his leg and won’t be in the midfield any further, while Alphonso Davies continues to work towards fitness. With Jonathan David in good form, and Canada at home, Switzerland may be at a disadvantage to top this group.

Canada are good enough to get a goal and then sit back, a draw would have them as the #1 team here, and Switzerland are unlikely to take drastic risks to alter that.

Prediction: 1-1 Draw

Bosnia vs Qatar (Wednesday June 24th in Seattle)

An awful performance for Qatar on matchday 2 brought them back to earth after a draw against Switzerland put the knockout stage in frame. Bosnia are now expected to win this match and go through in the tournament on four points, but nothing is assured in the World Cup. Qatar had two red cards and lost 6-0 on matchday 2. That’s hard to come back from, but Bosnia are also down a suspended player due to red cards, that player being CB Tarik Muharemovic.

This feels like an Edin Dzeko legacy game, if he can unlock the Qatari defence and get on the scoresheet, Bosnia should go through. Qatar are an inconsistent side.

Prediction: Bosnia 3-1

Morocco vs Haiti (Wednesday June 24th in Atlanta)

Haiti haven’t been bad, they are winless with a -4 goal difference, the trouble is the attack hasn’t clicked at all, and they are one of the few teams to not score a goal yet. Morocco are already qualified on four points, but need a win by some margin to top this group as Brazil lead it on goal difference.

Morocco haven’t shown their elite status yet but they have better UEFA quality players than Haiti and will look to set the tone here. We already saw that talent gap against Brazil, and Haiti should be similarly outplayed here.

Prediction: Morocco 2-0

Scotland vs Brazil (Wednesday June 24th in Miami)

Having beaten Haiti, Scotland need a result here to ensure passage into the knockout phase. Scotland have played competitive, but defensively minded football in both games this tournament. Brazil upped their level against Haiti on matchday 2, after the midfield struggled in the opener against Morocco. Scotland’s lack of attacking bite is a serious impediment to them getting a result here.

Without Raphinha, Brazil will have to improvise a bit and are expected to start Rayan in the forward role. Expect waves of Brazilian attack and an eventual breakthrough that leaves Scotland third in the group.

Prediction: Brazil 2-0

South Africa vs South Korea (Wednesday June 24th in Monterrey)

Despite the debacle on matchday 1 against Mexico, a late goal salvaged South Africa’s tournament for now. On a single point after drawing Czechia, they are in a win or go home situation against South Korea.

South Africa have not been good this tournament, they only scored from a penalty, and South Korea were brave against Mexico, but were doomed by a goalkeeping error. On three points, any result would suit South Korea, who cannot top this group. While South Korea are not an elite side, they really don’t need to be. South Korea should be able to move forward in transition with relative impunity, and finally find a goal.

Prediction: South Korea 2-0

Czechia vs Mexico (Wednesday June 24th in Mexico City)

This is the closest game Mexico will get this tournament to a party. Having topped the group, Javier Aguirre gets to use a rotated lineup for match day 3. That means teenager Gilberto Mora, and senior citizen Guillermo Ochoa will be starters, with Ochoa getting one last moment in goal for Mexico, and he’s doing it Estadio Azteca. An out of form Santiago Gimenez also gets the opportunity to start as a striker.

Czechia have managed two draws this tournament and now need a win against Mexico. Czechia offers little in open play but can be deadly on set pieces. Czechia look to be at a disadvantage here, even if Mexico starts a second XI.

Mexico’s XI should also see Luis Romo, the hero goalscorer on match day 2, continue in the midfield, while Cesar Montes could return at CB after serving a red card suspension. Mexico should continue their solid tournament, even if they don’t dominate.

Prediction: Mexico 2-1
