Team News, Form and Prediction as Oxford United Travel to West Brom

Oxford United will be looking to end a run of five games without a win when they travel to West Brom on Saturday.

Gary Rowett’s side lost at home against Portsmouth last time out – a result which ended his unbeaten record at Grenoble Road.

Team News, Form and Prediction

It wasn’t just the defeat against Pompey that will frustrate the head coach but also the fact that his side have now scored just once in their last five games.

As for the Baggies, they drew at Millwall last time out and lost their most recent home game against Sheffield Wednesday. Since Tony Mowbray returned to the club, they’ve seen two wins, one draw and three defeats.

Tom Bradshaw and Elliott Moore remain sidelined but there could be a return to the squad for Joe Bennett, after Greg Leigh was forced off in the first half against Portsmouth.

West Brom are still without top scorer Josh Maja, while Tammer Bany is also sidelined. Jed Wallace is a doubt and Kyle Bartley serves the final game of his suspension.

The Baggies have lost just twice at home this season while conceding just 11 goals at the Hawthorns. The U’s still have just one win in their travels this campaign.

Dane Scarlett netted a stoppage-time equaliser when the sides met at Grenoble Road earlier this season. Oxford have failed to win on their last two visits to the West Midlands but did draw in their League Cup clash in 2014.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Joe Bennett, Ciaron Brown, Michal Helik, Peter Kioso, Will Vaulks, Cameron Brannagan, Ole Romeny, Ruben Rodrigues, Stan Mills, Mark Harris.

Prediction: West Bromwich Albion 3-1 Oxford United
