The England captain registered his 31st league goal for the Bavarians with a header, breaking the record for the most goals scored in a debut Bundesliga season. The record was previously held by Hamburger legend Uwe Seeler, who scored 30 goals in Bundesliga’s inaugural 1963-64 campaign.

Bayern went on to score three more goals in the second half, beating their opponents 5-2. However, their victory was tainted by Kane’s injury in the 82nd minute. The former Tottenham star was replaced with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting after colliding with the post.

Bayern’s Injury List

Kane’s injury is a massive squad blow for the Bavarians ahead of the final phase of the campaign. However, he will most likely have enough time to regain full fitness during the international break. The club have the same expectation for Raphael Guerreiro, who suffered a minor muscle strain against Darmstadt.

Bayern prepare for a string of key fixtures in April, namely a two-legged tie against Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals. Tuchel’s squad was boosted with the returns of Alphonso Davies and Leroy Sane against Darmstadt, and more players are set to come back after the break.

Kingsley Coman, who has been out with a knee injury since January, returned to the training ground earlier this week. Bild has claimed the Frenchman will be ready to make a comeback against Dortmund on March 30.

Noussair Mazraoui has also started individual training in the past few days. The Morocco international, who was a regular starter before his injury last month, is expected to regain full fitness in the next two weeks. With Bouna Sarr also edging closer to full recovery, Bayern could have their full squad available by the time they meet Arsenal at Emirates in early April.
